Everywhere conceald weapons are permitted the crime rate has gone down. Everywhere handguns are banned the crime rate is up. Nuff said

If we ban guns then we might as well ban driving, motorcycles and ATVs, alcohol and medications . More people are injured or killed from these then from guns in Palm Bay

Owning guns is my right and if anyone wants to try and take them they had better have theirs when they try.
Using them to protect my family and myself would not be a problem.

Absolutely Not.

The banning (like registering guns) would motivate & encourage a greater black market, the prices for which would sky rocket, and crime (B&E, muggings, robbery, etc.) to pay for the cost of guns in a black market would go through the roof.

The only sane alternative is a PHOTO-ID after a background check to buy ANY gun, ANYwhere, from ANYone. No ID, no gun, and a $100,000 fine (or $10,000 fine and imprisonment for 3 years w/o gain time) for anyone who sells a gun to someone without the proper ID.

I'd vote to ban cell phones in cars first, and then vote YES for a background check with a photo ID in order to buy a gun anywhere, anytime. Banning guns is idiotic and a great way to create a much larger Black Market, not to mention enhancing the crime stats. Permit holders are not the ones using guns to commit crimes.

Why? What other rights and liberties would YOU mandate that a background check be required before said right can be exercised? Where is "background check" mentioned in the 2nd Amendment?

Then what is the purpose of the background check? Criminals aren't going to attempt to obtain a gun where background checks are performed.
