I carry a concealed weapon for my own protection and have loaded weapons in my home. I would never give up the right to protect myself against criminals. Unfortunately, the police usually arrive AFTER the crime has been committed and that would be too late for me. The fact that I have a gun has saved me over the years from (1) a home invasion, (2) attempted rape, (3) attempted burglary, (4) spousal battery. And I never had to fire my weapon, just show it and convince the criminal that I was more than willing AND ABLE to shoot to kill. I am a woman.

Absolutly right.Seldom do armed citizens have to actually pull the trigger.Just the sight of a gun is a major deterant. While looking down the barrel of a gun most thugs come to their senses and back off cause all of a sudden it ain't worth it.I like a revolver---they can actually see the bullets that will kill them !!!

Here in Ohio, and I'm sure nationally, there have been instances of Real Estate Agents ambushed by fake home buyers robbing, then killing the Agents. That's why my significant other- a woman- took the CCW training to arm herself while on the job of showing houses to potential buyers. You never know, and have probably just met, the one person who can do you harm in an empty house. Better to have a gun, and not need it, than to need one, and not have it. I'm behind you 100%!!

Since the right to keep and BEAR ARMS is my birth
right as an American it can never be taken away. This includes unlimited access to ammunition. I have a concealed hand-gun permit to avoid any legal hassle's.

No, actually I have several handguns, including a .38 S&W, a Colt .45 government issue, a Belgian Browning 9 mm, a Walther PP .7 mm, and a S&W .357 Magnum. All are loaded with hollow-point ammunition. I usually carry the Browning or the Walther (a gift from my father) in my purse. The others are around the house in easy-to-reach places and all are always fully loaded! Who would want to ask a home invasion team to wait while you load your gun??? My children grew up knowing all Momma's guns were ALWAYS loaded and my grandchildren know the same. You know, it is "unloaded" guns which tempt kids. They wouldn't touch a loaded one! There has never been a gun accident in my whole family for three generations, including many, many cousins (we're from Texas). We grew up knowing that all guns in our homes were ALWAYS loaded and ready to go.

Girl -
It was the same in our home, with all the guns always loaded. We four kids knew it, and never touched any of them. I wouldn't advise that method now, as many parents today, have NO parenting skills.
Like you, we have an assortment of weapons. My favorite is my S&W 629, in .44 mag.

If you want to control objects of destruction, control people. When a sick person rams a car into a crowd of children, do we demand that cars be removed from the market. Remember you can't expect criminal to obey a law on owning a gun and then go out and commit a murder. Laws are only obeyed by honest people, not criminals!
