Way way too many guns out there now for a ban to do any good. The only way to reduce weapon related crimes is to make the penalties far more punishing...shoot someone, get your index fingers amputated. That'll make people think twice...

If the laws were more strict & enforced, crime would go down. Guns don't kill people,people kill people.The government would love to take everyones guns from them ; that's a good start to being like Russia.

Really? So criminals (who by definition DON'T obey laws), would suddenly obey laws if they were "stricter"?

I think you mean that the penalties for breaking those laws should be stricter. If so, I agree!!
