Why ban handguns from law-abiding citizens, so they can't protect themselves against thugs who illegally obtain them?

Last I read League City, TX had more guns in it than most of Texas altogether and it happens to be one of the safest places to live...hmmmmmmm....

I just came down to stay the winter in Kemah,Tx and found the people very friendly and my question is, I have a handgun permit from Tn, which has become quite liberal in where you can carry your weapon. Basicly anywhere, even beer bars.Does anyone know if Tx reconizes Tenn handgun permits. We will be here three months and maybe longer as we really like the people and the weather.

League City is in the state of Texas, and you should start acting like it. Everything is about revenue with you people. You still have the traffic cameras, you have a huge police force giving out tickets everywhere. You have shut down the farmers that made that town in the first place. Glad I only lived there a short time.

Yes, Texas recognizes a Tenn concealed handgun permit, but Texas rules must be followed. Regarding restaurants and bars, there are two sorts of licenses issued in Texas - one for a place that makes most of it's income from alcohol (identified with blue-lettered signs that have a red 51% across the writing), and one that doesn't like Chili's, Fridays, etc.(These are blue-lettered and do not have a red 51% on them.) You can check which sort of gun sign they must display by checking their license at the TABC at http://www.tabc.state.tx.us/PublicInquiry/Sta...
