Bad idea! The criminals will ALWAYS have access to gun no matter if there is a ban or not. All it will do is disarm the good people. I support Concealed Carry. Make the idiot bad guys think twice about getting stupid. They rob, rape, etc.. They get shot! Now that sounds better..

Gun control is using both hands to steady the weapon as you are pointing it at the intruder in your house in the middle of the night.

You already have it. It's just the criminals who are doing it. They have never asked permission to do it.

Yep, you are right criminals never normally ask about the legality of anything.
But I, for one would like to be able to canceal and carry in a legal way.
My state is the one who fails me in this regard.

It is our constitutional right to own a gun. I oppose any legistration limiting gun ownership. The story about the 18 year old mother in OK who killed an intruder with a gun would have had a much different ending if it had been against the law for her to own a gun. Gun control laws negatively affect the law abiding citizen and gives the criminal the advantage.

I agree. They make it so difficult for an honest citizen to get a permit in most states, and virtually impossible in Illinois. The criminals don't worry about going through legal channels. I honestly believe if someone was going to mug you, and thought there may be a chance of you carrying a handgun, they may think twice.
People need more education on the safety of firearms, not more rules and regulations.

Responsible gun owners have all the right in this country to defend our homes and family. If we have to rely on our government to do it, we will be in the same shape as social security or any other funded aid. Come take my guns. Please:-)

The anti gun nuts are already tying to capitalize on what happened in Tucson. Heres a link.

no one will take your guns.
I do agree that we have the right to protect ourselves, I also think there are some nut jobs who believe that armor piercing ammunition is a necessity. I agree that it may be "fun" to blow stuff up, but I don't believe that everyone should have it. Kinda like fireworks... Most people can only handle a sparkler; a lot need training to properly and safely blow up the big stuff.

I'm not convinced of that as if "O" you know who gets another term he and some other will be vigorusly tring to.
Really all you have to do is look what happened after Katrina and see what police and the national guard was doing.

I see your point. Just keep a few unregistered and hidden firearms available, and stay outta trouble.
...if someone of importance is listening to what I'm saying; I personally wouldn't do THAT. It was just a suggestion.:-}

Well, I'd never do such a thing as that would be against the law.
