What part of "shall not be infringed" do you people fail to comprehend. If you would support a ban like this then you should leave my country right now and move to N. Korea. The Constitution is the foundation of this country. You cannot change it. If every citizen in this nation were armed then we would never have to overthrow the government b/c it would never get too oppressive. The 2nd Amendment is a system of checks and balances, without it America will fail. Also, there is no ambiguity surrounding the 2nd Amendment...it pertains to all American citizens unless they have been tried in a court of law and found guilty of a felony. I am not a "gun nut." You are an anti-American piece of trash and an ignorant societal burden if you do not believe in the right to bear arms. Guns save lives and that is a fact. We are not responsible for Mexico's crime rate. Isn't it funny how the Mexicans only submit a minute amount of the guns seized in crimes to our BATFE for verification? Because of this America has an inaccurate count of the firearms which have been used in crimes in the cesspool that is Mexico. Furthermore, if you are going to speak to about a subject of which you are ignorant...at least educate yourself somewhat on the topic of weaponry. There is no such thing as an "assault weapon." This term was contrived by the liberal media. The proper terminology is semi-automatic rifle which just so happens to be more American than the Ford pickup because it has been around longer. Also, just because a rifle may look tactical and military in nature and you find it to be intimidating does not make it bad or illegal. A minute percentage of what you call assault weapons are used in crimes throughout the U.S. Look at Switzerland. Their national sport is target shooting and every adult male is required to have a firearm in his home and on which there are no restrictions. Switzerland as a nation generally has more deaths related to mountain climbing accidents than murder. If you do not like guns then don't buy one. BUT don't even think about taking mine because of your irrational fear. If you are a politician then you have sworn to uphold the U.S. Constitution. I am telling you to do so or get out office now!!! Don't even think about taking my weapons. I love this country, the Constitution, and my guns. If you try to take them or my ammo...you can have it one bullet at a time.

Once you compromise or ban the 2A the rest of the Constitution will follow.

It is the American peoples Constitutional right to bear arms. As long as you have the proper permits or paperwork that is required by the federal government to possess the firearm then we should be permitted to own any firearm we wish.

Where do the words "permit" or "paperwork" appear in the 2nd Amendment?
What other rights require that?
