There are criminals living around me who have violent records. I believe if not for the right of law-abiding citizens as myself to own guns, the criminals would do as they please. I am one who believes we should have the right to own and carry weapons. States that allow law-abiding citizens to pack and carry have less crime. Society is safer when criminals know law-abiding citizens have the right to own and protect themselves with guns.
Without the 2nd Amendment, we wouldn't have the other 9.

I'll keep mine, thank you! Knowing what kind of criminals are prowling around Hemet. We used to live near a drug dealer that carried. He would drive by the front of our house and wave a handgun out the window of his car. I went to the cops, they did nothing. Oh, yea, they did write a report.
After we were forced to move, one good cop went after him and busted him - drugs and illegal weapon. Hmm. Only took them seven years.
I know, I know. It takes time for investigations.

At that time I applied for a concealed weapons permit. After classes, range training and spending $400, I was denied. Wasn't important enough. Not a cop's wife, not a jeweler, not a gun dealer, etc. Well, I think I am important enough to live if I had to fight for my life. After all, I do breath the same air, drink the same water and pee in the same sewers as the important people.
"We don't want just ORDINARY people carring around guns" ... quote from a cop. Still remember his name to this day. He denied me an arrest of a drunk driver.
Think I'll keep my guns!

Handguns, guns in general, are the only protection we have against the upcoming takeover of the US by socialists (code word: liberals). Also, when you call the law, it takes from 15 minutes to an hour, or more fot them to respond. By the time they get there, you could be dead.

The Second Amendment was placed there for a reason: Freedom, Liberty and the power of the people to keep control of their country. BTW are you aware of the 3.8% tax on the sale of your home after 2012 that was hidden in the Obamacare bill?? What does the sale of one's home have to do with health care????? Just another way to enslave the masses!!!! Wake up America!!! Oust the congress Marxists/Socialists 11/2/10!!!

Don't post beware of dog signs at your home. Post beware of my 357 magnum.

We cannot afford to do away with our right to own a gun. What other protection do we have. Heck I can't lift my cast iron skillet to swing it at someones head.

I will keep my gun thank you.

The law abiding citizens of Hemet should not be punished for the crimes of others ,who already break the law by not following the already strict procedures in which a person must go through to legally own a firearm. It is unconstitutional.

Also remember this: Criminals can always get their hands on a gun. Regular people can't. so get one one if you don't have one now. LEARN how to use it proplerly. Keep where kids cannot get ahold of it, no matter what.
Never Never shoot them until they are IN yuor house. And ALWAYS ALWAYS say you were in fear of your life. You legally can;t shoot someone just because they broke into your house. YOU HAVE TO BE IN FEAR OF YOUR LIFE OR IN FEAR OF ANOTHER FAMILY MEMBERS LIFE. Never forget that.

Simple statement, 2nd amendment!!
That's why our founding fathers made it so fast (2nd in importance)and so short and sweet. Funny how all the lawyers and politicians over the years have succeeded in getting the gun laws in the offensive state they are in now.

To me, gun control means being able to hit your target.

No,I would not, once we start losing rights it is easy to lose more. The world is not getting any safer, our homes are more vulnerable. I would support to arm anyone that wants to carry, provided of course they pass training as to when and why to shoot, require refresher courses through out the year etc.
