The police do a great job at writing reports after a crime has been committed, but they are not there THE VAST MAJORITY of the time when folks are in trouble. No doubt that crime is lower in areas that have CHL holders than not. Washington DC anyone?

Banning handguns only takes the guns from law abiding citizens. The criminals, by nature of being criminal, won't comply with a ban and we all know it. The police can't be everywhere at once, so law abiding citizens need to be able to have the opportunity to have a quick and sensible means of defense for themselves and their families. Simply calling 911 isn't going to deter a robber or rapist from pulling the trigger. Having the means to shoot back might save a law abiding citizen's life, though.

No it doesn't, except that banning owning them means you don't obey that law! I doubt there is anyone that obeys all laws, so if you were driving 50 in that 40 zone you are not law abiding. Mexico bands guns, and still a great number of people keep them. Ban handguns in Texas and we will still keep what we have and buy others when we please, import them like drugs from south of the border if necessary. Prohibition outlawed 'demon rum' but almost nobody stopped drinking.

Man or woman should have the right to protect their family from the criminals that roam the streets. Take the guns from them.....

I would like to be able to defend myself in my own home if required.

I would also like to have the freedom to carry a side arm if I chose to do so.

I totally disagree!!!! NO-one has the right to bare arms (male or female) if said arms are flabby. Now I do believe that everyone has the right to bear arms. Its funny that whenever something happens, the first thing the blleding hearts want to do is take away guns from law-abiding citizens

I believe that people have the right to carry guns if they want to; as long as they can be responsible about it.

2nd Amendment..and I'm an American!

But also I can be a bit crazy..

Also a bit insane at times which happens to all humans at some point in their life because it's part of the human emotional(can't be proven wrong).

This is how whole families get murdered, and how people kill their co-workers after being harassed or fired.

Legal guns are used for Protection..But please prove that they can't be used for anything else. I bet you can't seriously prove it.

Yet you can't prove it's correct either.

Really? Will you posting a cite to support that?

I don't have to prove anything..it's ALWAYS in the news every week.
You don't know how to read or listen to news reports of SANE people that have "The Right"(the 2nd amendment) to buy & possess a gun, and then end up having some kind of out-of-control anger/temper shooting their family or co-workers?
Please check out some news..USAToday, Yahoo News, any kind of news & you'll see....Or will you read the news reports & deny that these reports are FALSE.

BTW..There's no "legal guns"?...so guns are Illegal? Guns being sold in stores are either legal or illegal..There's no in between.

What else you got?
