It is unconstitutional but also it is quite ineffective... people will find ways to kill each other, it has been the case back past Able & Cain.

Guns kill people, but maybe that's not such a bad thing after all. If a lot more people were killed, there'd be fewer accidents.

Ignorance is not Bliss.. It's still ignorant.

As stated above, removing firearms from the equation only allows for another variable (insert knives and other weapons here). What most people describe, by "do away with all hand guns & quit making & selling them too" comments are the severe lack of understanding and education that goes along with this topic. If we as a nation spent half as much time/money on education as we do removing rights and imposing absurd laws as workarounds for removing rights, we'd all be living the dream. ;) I'd like to point out a simple fact that we should learn from other nations on this, since it appears we're traveling down the same dirty bumpy roads they did. Even when you remove firearms from the general public, the real criminals still have them, will get them, make them or otherwise use more primitive methods to commit the same crimes.
...
Control with regulation is one thing, outright banning is criminal itself... As with most problems we face in our current day and age, adults are the problem here. Correcting our laws and social structures to actually solve problems instead of blindly removing and banning... Children finding loaded weapons laying around the house to "accidentally" shoot themselves or others... Alright I'll buy that for a dollar. Agreed a problem. But instead of banning the tool, why not solve the real problem here. Education teaches us, loaded gun = bad, unlocked loaded gun = bad, unsupervised children = bad. So maybe like driving, to prevent that 88 year old nearly blind guy from driving behind the wheel of his newly purchased 40' motor home as a ticking time bomb (should we ban motor homes too?), why not test people & intelligently prevent but don't punish the honest law abiding by removing their privileges of being a United States citizen. Even if you don't agree or choose to own one. The fact remains you have a CHOICE now, and eventually it will come down to something you do care about if this ignorance continues..

Fun Facts: Firearm related deaths as far as I looked back before getting bored out of my mind hasn't even made the top 5 list since at least the year 2000. This includes the removal of specific gun bans during this time frame (2000-2011) More Guns = Less Crime?*ponder* What HAS been bouncing around the top 3 cause of deaths in the US? Tobacco, Alcohol and Obesity. All 3 of which are totally legal and readily available. More people die each year from Automobile accidents alone than all firearm cases combined...

This accurate information was compiled crudely in 10 minutes of web browsing from well documented government and independent sites and studies...

Guns don't kill people. And your wish that more get people killed points to a mental defect in you.

The 2nd Amendment says nothing about "control".

The 2nd Amendment doesn't state anything about a "test." Tests can be made so arbitrary as to make you or I not pass it.
