This is no longer the wild wild west, where one hunted for food. Yes, I do support a ban on handguns.

The second amendment is about the preservation of liberty, not hunting. The people need the empowerment of arms, all sorts of the most powerful arms, now more than ever to preserve liberty.

Do you have a television? Do you know what the "news" is? You should check it out! There is trash out there shooting people daily, sometimes for food, but usually for money, jewelry, jealousy or pride, cell phones, rape, or just because because they are bored. And this trash get their guns from the streets or underground and always WILL get them there whether they are outlawed or not.

You would do yourself and everyone else a lot of good if you just wake up.

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.-Benjamin Franklin

I hate to be the one to say it but, this is America. Please read the founding documents written by our great founders. Our "laws" don't care about your "opinion".

"When right, I shall often be thought wrong by those whose positions will not command a view of the whole ground." - Thomas Jefferson

George Washington: "A free people ought to be armed."

”Firearms are second only to the Constitution in importance; they are the peoples’ liberty’s teeth.”~George Washington

Thomas Jefferson: "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms."

James Madison: "Americans have the right and advantage of being armed, unlike the people of other countries, whose leaders are afraid to trust them with arms."

William Pitt: "Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves."

Thomas Paine: "...arms...discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as well as property....Horrid mischief would ensue were (the law-abiding) deprived the use of them."

Patrick Henry: "The people have a right to keep and bear arms."

Noah Webster: "Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority...the Constitution was made to guard against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters."

”None but an armed nation can dispense with a standing army. To keep ours armed and disciplined is therefore at all times important.”~Thomas Jefferson

”God grants Liberty only to those who love it, and are always ready to guard and defend it.”~Daniel Webster

”A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government.”~George Washington

”I am thus far a Quaker, that I would gladly argue with all the world to lay aside the use of arms and settle matters by negotiation, but unless the whole will, the matter ends, and I take up my musket and thank Heaven He has put it in my power.”
~Thomas Paine

”You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind each blade of grass.”~Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto

”Germans who wish to use firearms should join the SS or the SA - ordinary citizens don’t need guns, as their having guns doesn’t serve the State.”~Heinrich Himmler

”Americans used to roar like lions for liberty; now we bleat like sheep for security.”~Norman Vincent Peale

I'm starting to wonder if they are not indeed criminals who want to make their job much easier.

Who will stop them if we are "sitting ducks"?
