I voted for Newt because he put those pompous pundits in their place, and he was absolutely right! Stop the gotcha's and get to the issues! They are obviously not accustomed to being questioned and they couldn't handle it. It was fantastic! Go Newt!

Ron Paul is the only candidate who has remained consistent on his positions over the years. He is an "idea man." Let's look at some of those ideas. One of his ideas was to support Cap and Trade. Here is what he said in a 2007 interview with PBS's Frontline:

"I think if you have mandatory carbon caps combined with a trading system, much like we did with sulfur, and if you have a tax-incentive program for investing in the solutions, that there's a package there that's very, very good. And frankly, it's something I would strongly support.... If [George W. Bush] had instituted a regime that combined three things I just said -- mandatory caps, a trading system inside the caps, as we have with clean air, and a tax incentive to be able to invest in the new technology and to be able to produce the new technology -- I think we would be much better off than we are in the current situation."

Right... because Cap and Trade is a great idea!!! Oh, wait... It is the exact opposite of that! A horrible idea that I don't think any real conservative would support.

Then there was that whole "SCHIP" thing. Another brilliant idea(today is opposite day). Ya know, there is a very simple free market solution to insurance but instead Newt decided that he wanted the government to get involved with health care. I hate to tell him, but if it is unconstitutional when President Obama does it, it is unconstitutional when Newt does it.

He is just more of the same. So this time, I fully support Dr. Ron Paul. I know people say he is extreme, but if wanting a constitutional government is extreme, then I guess I am as extreme as they come. We really need someone that can get us back to prosperity and the only way to do that is by opening the markets. This idea that the government can create jobs is absurd. The only thing the government can do is make the environment easier for a business to start up and grow by placing less restrictions. But, republicans and democrats both have been making it more and more difficult as time goes on. I think Ron Paul would make a great president.
