No gay marriage . There will be no control anymore of who marries who or what- or how many!! Talk about major social / ethical decline.

As it is, too much is considered "acceptible" bahavior.

"Do whatever you WANT , as long as you are happy" So what has been the result of this?????
America's morals are headed down the toilet.....

So what makes staight people so superior? With a 50% divorce rate, how can you tell others who want to marry that they can't because your self-righteous ego feels threatened. You people are BIGOTS plain and simple. How does 2 girls or 2 guys being married make you any LESS married? How does it effect your life? And old house, what do you care how many people 1 person marries? Adults can make their own decisions and don't need old blue-hairs running the country for them. If it doesn't effect you, back off and live and let live. History will judge you narrow-minded socialists as the backwards religous zealots that held America back from true freedom. skinny- You truly believe "Adam" lost a rib and ZAP "Eve", and we are all inbred from that ridiculous explanation of the origin of man. OK if you believe that, then of course your opinion is the same as a redneck bumper sticker. Do yourself a favor and leave my free country before I can put a face to the ignorant freedom-hating.

The union of a man and woman to PROCREATE under Gods love is what marriage is all about. Look to what the original meaning of marriage and you will see. But your a flamer and think if you yell enough that we will have to agree with your sin of pumping another mans rump. You think flamers all stay together for life? Very few sinners who have sex with there same sex stay together. Keep opening your sperm breath mouth and you just show how stupid you are.The hair color of the ruler is black so I see that your not only an extreamest BIGOT but a blind one 2. You live your butt pumping and see that God will judge you and your judgement is as the 2 citys was DEATH eternially. So you think that just because your and adult in your view that you should make your own decision and not follow laws. What are you mexican too? Is that called a flamming baretto ? Just go lay with ur latest man as I am sure you change men about every 6 months and be glad America allows you to suck each others....... Try that in Irac. You won't have a head to even think about a pretty little wedding . Which one of you 2 is having the baby?

I think my wife would disagree that I'm a butt-pumping flamer. You haven't answered my questions, how does this effect you? Is this country free? Why should you decide other consenting adults lives? I personally think "thou dost protest too much" and you're really not a bigot after all, just an over-compensating closet-case. Why else would you be so riled up over what other guys do with their penises? Mind your own business or move to "Irac".

1 ) The majority have voted against gay marriage time and again.

2 ) Marriages fall under the jurisdiction of states rights not federal judge rules.

3 ) gays already have civil union which already gives them EVERY SINGLE LEGAL RIGHT of union that marriage would give them.

4 ) marriage is a religious bonding and gays not religious people. Marriage vows are really meaningless to them.

5 ) If gays really believed its nobody's business what they do in their lives then they have no real need for marriage. They already have legal rights to adopt, live where they want, work where they want, insure their civil union partners, nothing is denied them except marriage with to them is a meaningless religious ceremony. The bible clearly is against such marriages.

6 ) If they did believe in God they would follow the bible and not get married. And if they don't believe in God then they have no need for marriage.

EVERYONE deserves the same rights. I don't care what your sexuality, race, or gender is - if our constitution says that we are all created equal, then we should damn well live up to it.

You can't even spell "Adam" right. Why don't you educate yourself before you preach something.

The majority also voted against school integration in the 1960s. The majority is an oppressive force that has been circumvented time and again by the courts in an attempt to be part of social change before the closed-minded majority is ready for it.

Then why is there a federal Defense of Marriage Act?
Mystery Man wrote:

This is actually incorrect, but hardly worth pushing. If civil unions were indeed equal, then people wouldn't be pushing so hard for gay marriage.
Mystery Man wrote:

This is actually not correct at all. I'll give you that marriage is a religious institution (and therefore deserving of no protection from the federal government, by the way), but I've personally known many religious gay people. Just because someone is gay does not make them irreligious.

Actually, in many jurisdictions, gay people cannot adopt. Nor can they insure their partners. Nor are they considered next-of-kin for hospital and hospice purposes. Nor do they have the same tax benefits as heterosexually married couples. Just for starters.

I don't believe in God, but was married. I don't see the point you're driving at here.

All this debate is to push tolerance, yet the left is so intolerant of right views. God defines marriage in the Bible as one man and one woman. That is the standard I personally use to define my position. The fight for recognition of a legal gay marriage is really an attack on the Bible and God's law. Laws can change, but those who follow God will never condone what He defines as sin. Jesus died on the cross for everyone of us, we are all sinners needing the redeeming blood of Christ. I will never vote for any law enabling people to continue to violate God's law separating them from their Creator.
