Basic issue of human rights. Most people when informed about the issue do support it; the problem is that opponents have fallen into stereotyping and do not know gays themselves.

Gay marriage goes against the very foundation of our nation. Gays should remain in the closet and stop flounting their illness in the face of normal people. Gay people are dispicible to me.

Gays are dispicible to me. They should go back in the closet and not flount their illness in the face of normal humans. Like a cancer, they eat at society. It's horrible our schools teach acceptance of this dastardly practice.

Oh dear god. First learn how to spell correctly "John". When you spell something incorrectly, everything else after that is a joke.
Gays are despicable? HOW. How about you go return to your closet of your closed mind. An illness you say? The cancer to society is not the gays, lesbians, or bisexuals.. but people like YOU. Society is changing and adapting due to the people who live in it.

Where does it say that marriage is for one man and one woman? In the Bible you say? HA. Show me where in the Bible it says that people can't achieve happiness. Show me where it says that two people who love each other CAN'T be together. Let me know when you do because I'll be happy to hear your useless reasons. AND if you say something about God and creation.. why would God still be creating gays and lesbians and bisexuals if you He didn't want them to be happy?

Who are you to say who can and cannot love each other? Who are you to keep two people from each other? I'm sure you have a boyfriend or girlfriend that your parent disapproved of but you still wanted to be with. How did you feel then? How do you think that same sex couples feel?

Think before you speak. Look at the full perspective. Put yourself in their shoes. Think of how you would feel being treated this way.

Grow up and start accepting EVERYONE for who they are. You preach acceptance and respect, then give it to them. Do what you preach you hypocrite.

Everyone should have the right to marriage. Religious ideals should not be involved in political decisions.
