Love is love. People should be able to marry the person they love.

Love should be celebrated, not oppressed. If you're concerned that it'd ruin the sanctity of marriage, I have two words for you: Kim Kardashian.

Marriage is not about love or being attracted to someone enough to formalize a union. Its ONLY for two people that are acceptable by the rest of the community, to homestead and raise children who might also add to betterment of that community.

Its questionable whether love or lust has anything to do with marriage. But life isn't a field of daisies where everybody holds hands like hippies frolicking to bongo music. Anyone can say "they love that guy or gal" today. But tomorrow they'd have to prove it to the community. Once the dope wears off ... they have to face the ominous reality of homesteading with the wrong person.

It confuses kids.

Its just easier if we keep it to "opposite sex", like Charlie says. Anything else is too hippy dippy, America is out of control already what with women allowed to vote and blacks allowed to go to school.

Fooling around use to be legal.

When they did the gay marriage to make that equal to real marriage, all of a sudden my exploits, of which we cannot speak, with my buddies late at night or whatever ... became an act of adultery.

So now some of my guy friends have to be all "I can't do that (fooling around) anymore because I love my husband" .. geesh.

that statement make absolutely "no sense". If someone has strong moral convictions and they love someone it doesn't require a contract to be faithful.
