Why religious people don't support homosexuality is beyond me.
"beyond you" is most likely not an uncommon event.

I gave a reasonable argument. I simply said that people should not be denied civil rights because of those who pick and choose quotes from the bible. In the new testament, which Christians follow, Jesus never mentioned anything about gay marriage. In fact, he preached unconditional love. Actually, there are a number of churches that openly accept gays. The only condemnations come from the Old Testament in a select few passages which were rendered invalid since the New Testament was written. Anyway, all of that is moot due to the separation of church and state anyway. But regardless of that, there's no valid reasons for Christians to even hate gay people in the first place, especially when Jesus himself would love them and encourage others to do the same.

There's a difference between religious freedom and oppression of minorities.

I heard there is a new gay oriented bar coming to Valpo. I think it is going to be called Bill Stocky. Kind of along the Ben Willies line but catering to the gay crowd.
