That is part of being fanatical I talked about.... word of the day time for you...
Yea, I know what fanatical means, and I don't see anything in that definition about blowing thousands of people up every year. And if you're simply saying that mass murder is a part of their fanaticism, and you still think it's a fair comparison to Christianity, than you're sicker than I thought.

Or could it be that your twisted interpretation of the constitution is just wrong? Hmmm, I think I'll go with the 31 states on this one.

The comparison is in how bible thumpin "christians" (small c for a reason) believe their bible should be law of the land. That everyone should abide by its teaching... just like the Taliban does with the Koran.... show me the difference.

I already did. Christians don't blow people up who disagree with the bible and it's writings, the muslim savages do. I've had to repeat that three times already. Try to keep up.

No you didn answer the question... I did not ask how the taliban acted differently than the christians did I. I asked how did christians believing that their holy book should be the law of the land, that everyone should ffollow it, that our laws should be based on their interpretation of it, differs from the talibans beliefs. They to base their laws on their bible (the koran). So whre is the difference... or are the conservative christians the american taliban

Interracial marriage was also illegal at one point in history. Your point is invalid.

Yea, those Christians blowing up thousands of innocent people every year sure are giving their faith a bad name...
Adolf Hitler sent 6 million Jews to the gas chambers.
Millions of slaves were taken from Africa to the USA.
Medieval knights during the Crusades persecuted Muslims and Jews.
Hernando Cortez killed Millions of Aztecs.
Abortion clinics are still being attacked, byt anti-abortion activissts.
The Westboro Baptist Church pickets funerals of soldiers.
All these were/are done in the name of "God". "God" said it was Ok to do these things and they did it.

The fact that you're scraping the bottom of the barrel in a feeble effort to defend your precious muslim terrorists just goes to show what a despicable breed of people you liberals truly are.

Someone should "know" me on the head? Your English is as ignorant as your opinions.

The gay's get the rights they want.
And marriage keeps it's meaning.
win-win
The reality is that while gays get their 'rights' christians lose their's.

Societies are built on a common base of ethics and morality. Christianity IS the comom base of morality that built this country.

I don't support gay marriage, I do however support civil unions. I think that a committed couple should be able to legally commit for legal and fiscal reasons. By definition, a same sex union is not a marriage, and I don't believe the definition should be changed.
I think that the government spends to much time in our lives and should stay out of our bedrooms. I also think that a same sex couple should be able to inherit assets, make medical decisions, and share custody of a child, the same as a heterosexual couple.
Share custody, that a big influence on my decision. I know several lesbian couple who have children and are collecting welfare benefits, because legally they are "single" women. If we were to have civil unions perhaps some of these couple would no longer be using as many state and federal resources, because they would be two parent homes.
In the end I believe that issues such as this should be decided by the residents of a state, and not the federal government. If you don't like how your state falls on an issue, move or change your neighbors opinion. The federal government needs to go back to only defending the country, and MAJOR issues that effect the country as a whole, not micro managing or entire lives and social behavior.

You cannot use :"it is a sin" as a reason to not allow these people to marry eachother. Eating at Mcdonalds is a sin. Being overweight is a sin. Getting divirced " save for infidelity" is a sin. Lust, greed, coveting, etc. all sins. Come up with a better reason or; Shut up and love by the constitution of this great country.!!
ALL MEN ARE CREARED EQUAL AND ENDOWED BY THEIR CREATOR THE RIGHT TO LIFE LIBERTY AND THE PERSUIT OF HAPPINESS! Live by it or move to iraq.

"Eating at McDonald's is a sin"? I don't remember a fast food reference in the good book.

And your "pursuit of happiness" argument falls short too. It'd bring me "happiness" doing my grocery shopping in the nude, but this society needs at least some standards, so naked shopping is frowned upon.

Let's face it - homosexuality is about sex and with whom you choose to have it. It is also about morality, without which societies have crumbled since the beginning of time. Humans and other animals were obviously created physically for the purpose of procreation, which homosexuality cannot accomplish. Simply having the desire to have sex with someone or something does not make it morally right; that's why there are laws against beastiality and having sex with a child. This is not an issue aboiut love, as we are all free to love anyone we choose to. There is a big difference between love and sex, however. I believe the real issue that so many claim is a "right" has to do with health insurance and other financial and legal concerns. It is not for us to judge one another on lifestyle choices; that can only be done by God on Judgement Day. Let's take religion and equal rights out of the picture and allow civil unions, so that if you wish to add someone of the same sex to your insurance policy you are able. However, the institution of marriage is and always has been a religious sacrament and should stay that way.
