Marriage is not religious and not about having kids. It's no one's place to say you can't spend your life with someone and get a tax refund for it.
Obviously Hayley you don't or haven't read the Bible.

How is it obvious that someone hasn't read the bible? Lots of people read the bible, yet they live unbiblical lives anyway.

Gay marriage would have been unthinkable in biblical times anyway.

Since we are not a theocracy... doesnt matter if someone has read the Bible or Not.... has no issue in law.

My response to Hayley's comment was because she said marriage is not a religious thing. God created marriage as a covenant between a man and a woman. The Biblical vows were spoken by God. Hence my reply to her comment"It's not a religious thing". It was created through Christian religion and has been distorted by worldly values to suit whomever.

Sorry you are wrong. Marriage happened go groups not affiliated in ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM with any judeo christian sect. So to say it is a God thing is erroneous at best.
Plus if it was a GO thing, then agnostics wouldnt be married.

It shouldn't matter the sex of someone, if you love them and want to be with them, then you should be able to.
