its not even right on a scientific level. The purpose of procreation is to have children. Two men or two women can not have children.

So, only fertile men and women willing to sign a letter of committed to produce children should be issued a marriage license?

Yes. That's the reason for getting married. To start a family. No fertile men and women couples could adopt but not gays. But gays should be able to get domestic partnerships where one gay can be on the other gays live insurance and other benefits. Just not be able to adopt or pay joint taxes. Haha

actually, it's been noted in nature that in a controlled female population, that a female will still become pregnant - without the aid of a male present. hence, no male sperm to impregnate.
these occurences spawned two universities to come together and work on a study that involves humans - the possibility of female ova to become pregnant without the use of a male sperm. and they're quite close - it's just a matter of defining the enzymes on the exterior of a sperm that surround the DNA to break down the exterior of the ova wall.

anyway, there's tons of research that indicate that homosexual parents make great parents and that there's no legal reason to disallow a homosexual couple the option of adoption. given, of course, they can pass the same "tests" that a heterosexual couple does.
my partner and i not only have a child "naturally" together but also have adopted 2 beautiful children we're raising together. we've been together 22 yrs and the kids are quite spectacular. we're raising them with a good education and we attend church with them as well - i serve as a church elder as well.
it's good of you to think that we deserve some of the same benefits that you have...but, separate is not equal, as a standard against our constitution. we're all equal as defined by the 14th amendment and subject to the same rights and priviliges of living here in american under same constitutional requirements.

oh, now there's some original nugget of wisdom right there that'll surely sway someone from being a homosexual! yessereee.

the issues surround public, secular law, not biblical law. no one will ever expect you to change how you or anyone else thinks feels or believes in their hearts about homosexuality.

marriage was founded by God and is between two people of the opposite sex! Man and woman with God as the foundation and Head is what makes a marriage.

Seems to me that they have a shot at making a marriage work or fail just as much as a man and a woman do.
