I support gay marriage because love is love and saying marriage is only between a man and woman can be very inaccurate due to the fact everything in the Constitution can be changed, like voting among man and woman , woman and people of other races being able to vote. Nothing is solid. Another thing is the marriage shows a better sign to society showing young people to love who they want and how to in a united world.

This should not een be a discussion. The fact that it is says a lot about our country and how behind we are. This DOES NOT NEED TO EVEN BE AN ISSUE. Our government should have no say in who we are allowed to love or marry. Its none of the god damn buisness!!!!!!!

I support the idea, however I do not support gay marriage at face value. I believe marriage should be like baptism, accepted by the church, but not the state. It is one thing to be married, but it is another for your religion to impact you officially i.e. tax forms. By recognizing civil unions, available for all U.S. citizens, for official documents, gay marriage would no longer be an issue because homo- and hetero-sexual couples will have all of the rights that present day married couples have.

Why should people who love each other be forced apart by a law?

I support gay marriage. I just do not understand why gender is a factor in marriage. Any two humans that love each other with consent should be allowed to be be married. The government should not be able to say that gay marriage is illegal.

As marriage is a contract between two people, which is recognized by both the state and federal government, there should not be gender restrictions on such a contract.
