Marriage is between a man and a woman; I support a legal partnership for gays and lesbians, with all the rights of a conventional marriage. It is surprising that the Law can put such an arrangement into the books.

Whether you are gay or straight, believe in only man/woman marriage or marriage to anyone, here's something to think about...

A gay couple has to pay a fee for a marriage license in NJ. If they get married in NJ, they will likely buy a home in NJ (there are many to choose from). They will pay taxes on that home. The closer to NYC, the higher over $10,000 those taxes will be. They will have a reception at a NJ banquet facility. They will pay a NJ photographer to take pictures. After the wedding is over, they will eat in NJ restraunts and shop in NJ stores. They may even open a business in NJ, therefore having to hire NJ residents to work for them. KA-CHING! If you have a problem with what 2 consenting adults who aren't hurting anyone want to do, don't you at least want them putting their money into our economy?

Now if only our pompous 2 ton governor could understand that.

Love is a beautiful thing that everyone should be able to experience to its fullest - that is a basic human right.

Remember that thing that the US was built upon...equal rights?
The fact that gay marriage iant legal doesn't just take away the rights of gays, it takes away rights of straight couples with a transgender member, and it takes away hope from young people. But I guess that's okay because we're "protecting the sanctity of marriage" what's the divorce rate in straight people again? And what's the divorce rate in gay people? Yeahh.

Everyone deserves the right to the same liberties and freedoms. How can we continue saying the Pledge of Allegiance if it doesn't hold true for members of the LGBTQ community?

Those who limit the rights of their fellow kind are those who truly need to look back and think over their choices.
