Oh BoldyGo

What about the parents who use drugs? or molest their children? Beat them? Are you saying that adoption is not an option for gays as well?

My brother is gay and when the day comes when he wants children of his own he can adopt. There are MILLIONS of children who deserve better lives because GOD gave them a crappy hand, if I were able to I would adopt rather than have my own children because I have enough love in my heart to reach out.

Vance1 you sound just like Hitler and you should be the one in camp not them.

I don't support "gay" marriage. I support equality within the institution of marriage.

Why are we still having this conversation? It isn't fair to force others to abide by your religious views. You can still get married and have your rights. Supporting equal rights does not impinge on your rights in anyway. Get over yourselves, let others live and be happy. We all deserve it.

EXACTLY. America was founded on Christianity. If we are a Christian nation, why are we allowing such Non-Christian practices such as abortion and gay marriage?
We are NOT a Christian nation and you are delusional if you really believe we are. If you are such a good Christian, why do you support hatred and bigotry? I thought Christianity taught love, forgiveness, and acceptance. All I hear from Christians is hate and negativity. What a terrible organization.

If strait people have the right to go about their lives as they please, why cannot gays? Their bodies are of the same chemical makeup as strait people, so why should gays be treated as criminals for their simple belief or life choice?

You cannot control who you love. People do not choose to be gay. Why would anyone choose to be persecuted by so many close minded people? You should be allowed to marry who you love, regardless of being the same sex.

People should be allowed to love whomever they want, it isn't your decision to tell them who they can, or cannot love. Sorry, you're wrong.

I have no strong feelings one way or the other, I simply don't care if they can get married or not. I wouldn't want to vote either way for it, and if my vote was the tiebreaker, I still would choose not to vote.

You people should read your BIBLE and get it straight!! There are many scriptures that GOD condemns homosexuality..It is an abomination to him..He did not create Steve and Eve!!You can twist and turn the scriptures but the bottom line is it is wrong!! Some of you say you were born this way..If that is so why does GOD hate it ,but yet made you this way??

I would like to ask you a few questions.

Have you ever sat on a seat that has been previously sat on by a woman on her period (even unknowingly)?
Have you ever shaved?
Have you ever cut your hair?
Have you ever worn a shirt that is only 50% cotton?
Have you ever told a lie?
Did you know that Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune are all named after other Gods, and you shouldn't utter the name of another God?
Have you ever lusted at anyone?

the answer to all these questions is yes.
These rules are CLEARLY stated in the Bible. If you read the entire thing paid attention to other verses, you would know this. So if you reallllly want to get technical, you're going to hell just as much as the rest of us for not loving thy neighbor. The Bible says all sins are equal and none are worse than another in the eyes of God. So that cotton polyester blend you're probably wearing, is judged the same as two men or women loving each other.

and the last question is a rhetorical question.

You say being gay is a choice. By definition of the word, you have to have two or more things to CHOOSE from, to make a choice.
So.
When did you decide you were straight? Or when did you decide to NOT be gay?
Because for me, it just kinda happened in about 5th grade.

S8 AGAINST H8.

Marriage is a legal contract now, something that the state/government licenses. There is a separation between church and state, or have we all forgotten that?

Marriage is a CIVIL RIGHT, which should be available to every citizen in the country. Discrimination is unacceptable in ALL forms. Who you love is a personal decision that has no basis for legal or government control.
PERIOD!
