That's why we need to keep the state's view of marriage as gender integrated and gender diverse. Gender matters; homosexauls and transexuals understand this cultural fact. The left wants to change gender relationships to government by rewriting marriage law; that's been shown harmful, by the Theodosian Code.
All Americans are equal, but not equal to each other. Every American is a free individual and a moral citizen acting for the moral good. Most Americans love their families and want to keep the ideal of marriage then children, rather than the Left's social chaos.
I support Oklahoma's Constitution, we should have the same marriage protection for the US Constitution.
brian, legally speaking, we're ALL subject to the same laws and interpretations of those laws, in particular, in this topic, with contract law regarding marriage. again, legally speaking, we're all equal in the eyes of the law. if you view men and women as unequal, that's your thing - the law cannot accomodate that prejudice, the courts cannot make decisions based upon that prejudice.

please, try to contain yourself to issues regarding laws and not personal prejudice.

good luck.

Men and women are not equal, is what I'm saying.

So a female u .s. citizen is not legally equal to a u.s. male citizen... got anything to back that up....

All Americans are equal, but not equal to each other.

For the sake of this thread we are talking legal. Rights as a U.S. citizen under the constitution.
We are not talking socio economical equality as that has less to do with this argument than most of your outlandish claims.

Keeping that in mind want to swing again and tell us that women are legally not equal to men.

How cute... anti can not defend his position, he can not show where I am wrong in mine... so he goes the route of a child who has no argument... an ad hominem attack.....

The Supreme Court sees nothing wrong that 18 year old men must register for the selective service, men and women are unequal. Federal marriage law defines marriage as one man and one woman.

We are all equal and we are all different; we are free. That doesn't make a child equal to an adult, a citizen isn't equal to a noncitizen nor is a man equal to a woman. Individual freedom isn't about couples.

again, brian, what does "ALL" mean in the 14th amendment?

we are all held to the same laws and interpretations of those laws, if we're here in these united states.

so tell us what "ALL" means when it's used in the u.s. constitution. that's really the only thing i want to hear from you at this point. anything else is just sheer avoidance.

ALL doesn't mean men and women are equal to each other, just equal before the law. There is no gender equality right in the Constitution.

heart once you get started on something your mind gets stuck on it. Its also ironic because you keep asking the same questions yet you won't answer any of my questions that I've asked you over and over. Hypocrite should be your middle name.

finally you get it that men and women are equal before and under the law. i'm so glad you finally understand that!

now, maybe the conversation can proceed.

the discussion relates to THE LAWS of this nation & nothing else. is that clear, brian? don't confuse yoruself by tossing in other stuff, ok?

hey, brian gets it. it only took 3+ years for him to admit it.

now, the challenge is you.

what does "ALL" mean in the constitution?

your questions don't pertain to the legal issues. you want mix up your choice in religion into the legal debate & that's not how our laws are made.

and you're obsessed in forcing everyone else to live by your interpretation of the bible and how you think we should live. move to iraq if you don't like that people have the freedom to choose what they believe and how they conduct their lives or if you don't like the fact that everyone's equal here.

and you're the one posting in a "gay thread" - why are you so obsessed with all things gay anyway? trying to hide something? trying to tell us all something? trying to convince yourself that you're not gay?

LOL.

keep on trying lil' buddy.

People have the same rights in any state, they are Americans in Vermont or Oklahoma. Equality is the right of any American in any state.

you aren't satisfied with leaving it to the states huh? You want a federal law making it mandatory for all states to marry you and your gay lover. I'll compromise and leave it up to the states but you won't.

because we're all equal here anti. that's the crux of the whole issue.

besides, other contracts are recognized & enforcable in other states (via the full faith & credit clause) all marriages should be as well.

no, dear - i'm not telling you or anyone else you have to marry a member of the same sex. i'm not the one expecting the laws to reflect my choice in religion.
keep trying lil' buddy.

and did you ever look what "ALL" meant in the constitution? brian finally got it so there's hope for you too.
