I am not gay but I believe that the constitution says there should be a seperation of church and state. We should not make laws based on our religions and I see no other reason for it to be against the law

Gays are people too who also have feelings and rights just like blacks, whites, christians, jews, ect. If you don't believe in it, don't do it. Since when did other people's life concern us(you)? The only thing that will be the outcome of gay marriage...is gay marriage. And gay people already go through a lot as it is, so why make it worse for them?

Marriage is not a state given right, it is a religious institution. The state should get out of it, and leave it to the religion to decide how to deal with it.

I am proud of all of you for making your voice heard and standing up for what is right. I am a straight woman. I am happily married and have a beautiful 2 year old daughter. I have traditional values, I believe. I believe in being a good person with a clear conscious. I also believe in treating others how you would want to be treated; with kindness and compassion. No judgement. I can only hope that by the time my daughter reaches her school years, that all of these crazy laws will be a thing of the past. It is all so sad to me. It's 2012. It's time to remember that the Pledge of Alligence ends with "...with liberty and justice FOR ALL". It's time this country starts standing by it's promise.

Mariage is between a man and a woman only. No exceptions. Has nothing to do with civil rights.

Are you kidding me? It has EVEYTHING to do with civil rights. I guess you think we should have stuck to owning slaves too, right? I mean people once believed it was okay to treat humans like that too, it doesn't mean it was EVER the right thing to do. I suppose your bible told you that union was between a man and woman? Show me where it says that YOU have the right to judge anyone. I mean, if God created everyone why did he create his children destine to hell? Please explain to me how any of that makes since at all. Thanks.

The change in law would cost millions of dollars to the state. Changing the definition of marriage would lead to a decompensation of the basic family structure of our society leaving us set up for major problems and dilemmas.

How would a change in law cost millions? That makes no sense whatsoever.

You know what else would save millions? Making divorce illegal.
