"Section 2. Representatives shall be apportioned among the several States according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each State, excluding Indians not taxed. But when the right to vote at any election for the choice of electors for President and Vice President of the United States, Representatives in Congress, the Executive and Judicial officers of a State, or the members of the Legislature thereof, is denied to any of the male inhabitants of such State, being twenty-one years of age, and citizens of the United States, or in any way abridged, except for participation in rebellion, or other crime, the basis of representation therein shall be reduced in the proportion which the number of such male citizens shall bear to the whole number of male citizens twenty-one years of age in such State."
Where does it say anything about female?... Your argument falls flat as it has nothing to do with the crux of the issue. That being equal protection under the law. The equal protection clause requires each state to provide equal protection under the law to all people within its jurisdiction. In Reed v. Reed (1971), the Supreme Court ruled that laws arbitrarily requiring sex discrimination violated the Equal Protection Clause. Now by saying two people of the same sex can not marry would be discrimination if two people of the opposite sex are allowed to marry... therefore should be unconstitutional.
The Amendment reserves a right for males, it implies the existence of female. There is no gender equality right in the Constitution. Sex discrimination has a rational basis when applied to motherhood, fatherhood, family and marriage. Reed v Reed is limited to inheritance law, it does not change marriage law.

The first order of the Bible is to the husband to take charge of all issues. The woman is to be protected by the husband. I'm not going to defend this any farther. Go ask any strong USA Christian Woman of what a husband should be. Please tell us what she said. Odds are she will say that her husband is her friend if they are true Christians.
As far as the moral issues, your reply is a liberal answer that no one can understand! Do you think that a Brother and sister should be married? Yes or No? Please answer should they be married or not!
Do you deny the Bible subjugates women... treat them as less than men.... discrimination period

Again I will ask "Now as far as your incest question... tell me how my answer to a question not pertaning to subject at hand would say anything about "the morals and values" I spoke of in previous post"

You are trying to change the subject. We are not talking incest, or any other illegal thing. We are talking why should two u.s. citizens be denied the same rights as two other citizens just because they are homosexuals...

Why do you make it your sole purpose in life to hate God and His Word?

I just don't understand the big issue. Shouldn't we be allowed to marry who we want? It's not just symbolic but makes things legal should something happen or other matters become involved in a partnership. No one likes to think of the bad side of relationships but just in a hererosexual marriage breakups and deaths do happen which often times involve children, money, estates and other things that rightfully should go to a persons spouse fairly. I've known a same-sex couple, not married and the partner died in an accident. The late person's family came in and evicted his living partner from a home they built and lived in happily together. He was left with nothing and had no rights for even the funeral. That's why I whole-heartedly support same sex marriages!

That's just the point....the family was obviously horrified about the whole 'relationship' and wanted to be done once and for all with this left-over homosexual. People seem to instinctively KNOW that marriage is between a man and a woman, NOT between 2 men or 2 women (or men and animals, etc). This family was just obviously totally disgusted.

These homosexuals simply want BENEFITS for their perverted life-styles, benefits that would be the same as for legitimate marriages. That's a joke. At no time has our government EVER rewarded those who do such vile sexual abominations.

God demanded for man to take leadership! When this was wrote, this was a time of different wars. He commanded for man to lead his wife through hard times. Where in the Bible is a woman ever punished other than adultery. I believe in Corinthians it states for man to lead in fellowship and the woman remain silent in the Church. In context, the man MUST step forward and the woman behind. He must take front and center as most old sayings go. If the man fails, then there is no punishment for the woman to step forward!

My wife does step forward in our Church when I'm not there. She is strong in her beliefs without me. She would be fine even if I was not there, but when I,m there she has always pushes me in front as she stands beside. I believe she would rather me to confront new topics as she can then stand as my aid if she thinks I,m in need. She is my best friend and my wife!

Do you mean "fewer" rights and benefits? Yes, that's what I mean. We're not talking about a man and a woman here, or I'd say they of course have every right to get married. They qualify. But really, homosexuals don't quality.... Ya gotta qualify!

Welcome to the real world. Every gay was born of male/female union; that explains government's vital interest in male/female marriage.

Tell me any where in the Bible that a woman is punished for preaching. I read that the man is commanded to step to the front to that burden of leading the Church, but a woman is never condemned for anything. A Man is ordered to lead and in that period the woman is to remain silent in the same time of instructions of the man to teach. If the man cannot, then the woman is not commanded not to say anything! Gee!! Has you past family problems distorted your views of the Church? Have you ever attended a Christian Church? Really have you ever attended one? Have you seen the inter-actions of the men and women?

I own a company which has a large bulldozer. I cannot get any of my female family to drive that beast. To me I think is okay for a woman to take a challenge of something they wish to take on, but if they run into a new problem that they have never experienced before, then a man's duty is to aid. No one can make this crazy life own their own. My wife can calm a customer quicker than me of why my bulldozer has not got to his property any soon. Even though she will not drive it!

welcome to the real world, every gay has the right to be in bed with any adult they choose, that explains the legalization of gay marriage in 7 states, vital interest in male/male, female/female marriage, it's the law in some states and it's happenning, your only option is to deal with it, heterosexual marriage for gays is as gross as gay marriage for hetereosexuals, life works in many different ways not "One Way".

That's true and I've always written there is nothing wrong with homosexuals or homosexuality.

.
Gay Marriage Supporter wrote:

That's false, only six states have same sex marriage. Washington D.C. isn't a state. Also, three of those states didn't legislate same sex marriage, instead they had same sex marriage imposed by activist liberal courts that rewrote marriage law for everyone, out of sympathy for a mascot victim group.

.
Gay Marriage Supporter wrote:

What vital interest? It's not posterity, the next generation of taxpayers.

.
Gay Marriage Supporter wrote:

More than 30 sates have law that define marriage as one man and one woman; we have a 5/1 win ratio.

Many gays have married under the same laws as everyone else, I cite Meredith Baxter and Oscar Wilde for two examples.

You have energy to burn today and it needs positive outlets, otherwise you'll be rather ratty and impatient. You want to work on activities that will show you in a good light, and you'll be annoyed if anyone objects to what you're doing or points out where you're going wrong. If you've been nursing a secret passion for someone, the frustration will really get to you.
