I do not base my morals on the Bible. Therefore, the argument that the Bible says it's immoral doesn't matter to me. I believe in compassion, love, and acceptance of our fellow humans. Gay marriage hurts NO ONE. It doesn't make heterosexual marriage any less valid, so why are people so concerned about it? I say YES. The sooner we can stop being so hateful and judgmental of others, the sooner this world will be good place to live.

Well look at the divorce rate HELLO straight people can't get it right why not let other people give it a try. I do not mean to bash Mary or anyone else... but don't set around acting like you have the right to pick who someone should be with... everyne has the right to be happy and you mary nor should anyone think they can decide whats right and whats wrong. Gay persons have just as much right to marry as any other person. The whole anti-gay marriage is reminicant (sp?) of the years when the color of you skin dictated what rights you had. "All persons created equal" that means equals rights, as in they can marry whom ever they choose. I do think there should be limitations in age....no one under 18 for obvious reasons.

ok, this is my take..... I am a Christian. I do believe in the Bible. However, If the question is whether or not to "legalize" gay marriage, by the standards set forth by the constituation of our great nation, yes, gay marriage should be legalized. We live in a country in which there is a seperation of church and state, this means that government CANNOT make a decision based on the Bible. That being said, in my Bible, it says that my God is a god of LOVE. I can not help what I am attracted to. No one can. Homosexuality is not an illness to be cured. If a person is attracted to someone of their same sex, not just attracted but IN LOVE, I do NOT believe that the God I worship, and praise can nor will condemn them to hell. Do I think homosexuality is a sin???? Yes. Only one man walked this earth and never sinned, and we beat Him and hung Him on a cross. He wept and cried out to the Lord....and He died there. Yeah, they may be sinners, But God loves sinners.....because we all are. Thank goodness He is a God of love AND forgiveness.
