Go argue with the word of God not other people. There is a huge difference in religion, and being a born again Christian. Don't ask peoples opinions go to the bible. Remember though it cuts like a 2 edged sword and does not tell any of us what we may want to hear, just the truth.

Regardless of what it may or may not tell you... it is irrelevant in regards to the law. Not a theocracy....

I swear to ... every time I try to defend people for being people the fringe nutcases have to come out and make me regret standing up for the gays.
I'd tell the butt pirates here to shove it up their @ss, but then they'd probably like that.

It must be SO nice to find yourself in a life that squares up with the teachings of the Bible. Not having to do any real work, no struggle with the truth inside of you about who you are. Anybody would feel good that their religion and their existence don't disagree. Well, fortunately, this country is coming around to settle the civil (aka financial) matters of this question, and people can live equally. And then they can accept themselves or torture themselves to no end or let you torture them with... this... whole business.

Did you ever stop to think that their are more non Christians living in this country than Christians? People who don't believe the Bible. Non Christians US citizens who have the same civil rights as US Chrisitan citizens. Thats the problem with a lot of fundimentalist Christians is that they want to throw scriptures as arguement. You cannot use religion when arguing civil rights. It is unconstitutional.

Religion was a business contract between two families for mutual monetary, property, or political gain before the religious got their hands on it.

And now since it's one of the only ways groups like the big business known as the Catholic Church keeps it's death grip on our lives and keeps their income from the people they've fooled flowing.

I'm straight, I've got the right to marry and I don't see why gays and lesbians shouldn't. It doesn't hurt anyone despite what the delusional fantasies of the conservative extremists and mentally unstable nutjobs like Rush Limbaugh.

The only people that care are sad, angry, bible thumpers that fear anything they don't understand; the same kind of people that cling to their guns like a pacifier and retreat to throwing around bible verses that they've misinterpreted because the facts of the real world is too scary for them.
The Catholic Church has absolutely no control over me !

I'm a firm believer in God and in being so I know for a fact that it is not my place to judge anyone. Sure I'm guilty of it. It's almost impossible not to be when I hear some of the atrocities that happen all over the world. Yeah some of you are right sin is sin, but show me one person that dosen't sin and I will worship him/her as well as the one whom taught us that it is not our place to judge our brother. I'm positive he says in the bible that ''ye who be without sin shall cast the first stone'' well I can tell you I sure can't throw one.

It does not matter what you believe "god" made, we are not a theocracy. Give me a non theological reason why we should deny to u.s. citizens the same right and privileges we give two other citizens

Were you having a seizure while typing this?

Marriage is two different things. Legal marriage is a government contract, and therefor gay men and women deserve equal protection, and thus equal right to marry, under the law. Religious marriage is a rite that has no bearing on the contract of legal marriage. If you want to keep your church's marriage between heterosexuals, that's fine, but denying the legal right to marry to gay men and women is nothing short of unconstitutional discrimination.

My, isn't that original of you. I bet none of us have ever heard that line before! Oh, wait, we all have. Ad nauseam.

If you're going to bring your god and his definition of marriage into it, I suppose you're in favor of letting a man have multiple wives, or a widow without children being forced to marry her deceased husband's brother? Another classic example of biblical marriage is that a female rape victim must marry her rapist, do you support that?

If not, then please cease to bring up your god and his wacky ideas about marriage.
