Religious views do not dictate law. We have the death penalty when the Bible says "thou shalt not kill". Marriage isn't holy as long as divorce is legal. Stop discriminating against people just because you are miserable in your marriage.

Why should it be anyone care what other people do in their bedrooms. They should care about the kind of contributions their making to society not the gender their attracted to.

It is not scripturally correct. Does not follow the laws given to us by our Creator.
How would you feel if it were your son or daughter that wanted to marry whom they love and they were homosexual? Would you be okay with your children being treated as second class citizens? Do you know gay people? Do you treat them as inferior or are you hypocritical and act nice to their face?

Morning TSP. Yes, I know gay men and women. No I do not treat them differently. 2nd class citizens? name any group, race or religion and they have been treated as 2nd class somewhere in history. The only class that hasn't been 2nd class are the rich and powerful! hate is wrong. Love is correct. And with love and showing guidance in the Word, i would do my duty as a parent to teach a child what is written in the Scriptures. The "choice" to be gay is fostered by our tv programs, magazines and social activities...to show impressionable young ones, that this is acceptable, fun or whatever. I have not thought like this all of my life, but as decades go by, I see that the suggestions given in the scriptures lead to a happier life. It was the beguiling serpent in Eden, that tempted Eve with the "lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life". The tempting never stopped, it is still happening today.P.S. I do not belong to any church or religion. I do not attend any church. I just read. Peace.

There's no logical reason to oppose gay marriage. The only reason I've heard people give is because the Bible says it's not okay. Not everyone has the same beliefs. We live in the USA. We are guaranteed rights like life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, freedom of religion, freedom of speech and expression... The list goes on and on. "Gay" marriage shouldn't even be an issue in this supposedly civilized country. Marriage, straight, gay, polygamous, whatever, should be a legal right for any and all consensual adults and our government should concentrate what it should be working on, like the national debt or the healthcare crisis or rising unemployment rates. Not whether or not it's okay for two people of the same gender to get married.

I reject the exclusive nature of marriage. It's just like telling interracial couples they can't marry.

We don't care about what happens in the bedroom. We do care about the homosexual brainwashing of our children in the public schools.

Actually there's no rational reason to allow it.
The only reason I've heard people give is because the Bible says it's not okay.

<quoted text>Does not the Book of Leviticus also say "not to wear clothing made of more than one material" and has numerous food restrictions
Yes it does. Those are ancient Hebrew customs, which observant Jews follow to this day. Have you never heard of "Kosher"? Have you never seen an Orthodox Jew??
and condones the keeping of slaves
Slavery was commonplace in those days. People that had no means of support would become slaves to survive. Nowadays we have welfare and they sponge off the rest of us that have to work.
Do you follow these laws
I'm not Jewish.

It amuses me to observe homophiles attempting to invalidate the Bible and Christianity by parroting nonsense that they read on some homoblog somewhere. I would encourage you to actually learn something about the Bible first before making a fool out of yourself Worldwide.

Mr. Blank. It appears that you or someone else using similar words has responded to scripture quotes with the same comments about clothing, food and slavery. Where do you see "hate and condemnation" in my response? anyhow, to respond: Because i stated a fact, does that make me judgemental? it is a fact, that homesexuality is an abomination to Our Creator. it has been stated in the old and the NEW testament numerous times...so I think He is serious. By the way, It is also stated not to lie with an animal....why was that even mentioned? People must have been doing that also. No, I do not cherry pick Yahwah's laws. I do follow the dietary laws. In fact, our oceans would be cleaner and our arteries would be healthier if we did not consume unclean "bottom feeders" of the ocean. They are Our Creator's system of cleanup. I do not eat pork and other items on the list. For the clothing, i wear just one type of material majority of the time. For slavery...the purpose was 2-fold. The "slave" who was actually a "debtor" to the other, usually committed a crime against the person and became their "slave" or debtor. And worked under their apprenticeship to pay off their debt and learn a lesson. In addition...the "owner" was to let the "debtor" go after 7 years, and if not then...there would be other times...in addition to the "jubilee year" where ALL debts were forgiven. Infact, if USA would follow the Jubilee custom...our national and personal debt would not be in the shape that it is. But alas, people did find a way to corrupt the jubilee system as well. Since, you do not know me, your tone of your reply sounds judgemental to me. But, I will not let that bother me, as I know that Our Creator does not approve of homosexuality...because it is written down in the old and new testament and i choose not to participate in that lifestyle. I do not hate the homosexual, only the "act" and I also know: "And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it." Satan is here and patroling the streets. and I also know, "And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie."
I should have read your post first, I could have saved myself the trouble of composing mine.

You must not understand your own motivations, since that's exactly what you are trying to do LOL
