It's a civil rights issue.

In the United States everyone is granted equal rights under the Constitution. It's about equality, simple and easy. Those who use religion as an excuse against gay marriage forget that there is a seperation between church and state in this country. Gay citizens deserve the right to pursue their own happiness.

I simply believe that if one portion of a population is not allowed to do something that the rest can, that that is not a fair society.

Marriage should be available for everyone. It doesn't make sense to limit it to certain people.

Marriage is a national government issue. You don't go to a church and get married, you have the ceremony there. You need a license from the government to get married. Most people say "Because it's against God's will" but our constituion separates church and state so that is not a valid reason. "Unnatural" is also a reason some people use, but that would suggest homosexuality is a man-made product which is ridiculous. So why shouldn't homosexuals be married? I at least have an opinion on why they should: Every person is created equal and yet are treated unequally by the law. This needs to change.

You obviously have no idea what the "Separation of Church and State" actually means.

Shall I explain it to you ???

Why is when ever someone who disagree or disapproves of the homosexual lifestyle they are dubbed a homophobe. What if we are just tired of being force fed bullcrap life choices and told its prophetic.
