Surprise, Tennessee, I got gay married in CT this last July! And yet I'm still not lighting churches on fire, marrying lobsters, raping children OR coming to your house to "break" your marriage! Because I don't care or want to do any of those things. Find a tangible excuse to not conduct gay marriage, one that holds water better.

In Tennessee,it is banned by the state constitution.
You can conduct marriage on a rock and a tree,,,but it will not be recognized in Tennessee.Don't like it????Too bad.It is law.

i vote yes on gay marriage as everyone has a right to have equal rights and celebrate there love and committment! nobody has the right to deny anyone of equal rights and as there is in the constitution that shall not be violated: separation of church and state. it is no threat to any traditional marriage and those that think it is are ignorant and homophibic and should be educated about that. and also at a time when all state governments as well as county and city governments are also cash strapped this would profit them and revenues would skyrocket.
