Marriage should be defined by law as a man and a woman period. Homosexuality is wrong.

Marriage is a sacred union entered into by two consenting adults who vow to love, protect, honor, respect and commit their lives to one another. A "civil union" is what the public has the right to vote on, all "marriages" are in fact only civil unions verified by a legal document, when marriage in essence is a sacred covenant. In the separation of church and state - the church is the entity that defines marriage and should be reflected as such in our laws. Therefore, this debate in the public sector is absolutely inaapropriate. The "state" deals with leagally binding matters and a civil union is that which the "state" should be justified to recognize and honor. We thus need to look at the grammer and change our pattern of speech. In the eyes of the "state" there is present a "legal" civil union. The church thus has the right and should be empowered to define marriage. News Flash: POLICY MAKERS - MARRIAGE IS NOT YOUR CALL - It's G-d's blessing that matters ~ and those people of faith get to have this sacred conversation within the constructs of their own faith traditions. Yes, I support Gay Marriage and as a heterosexual woman, very much in love with her husband, there is NOTHING about honoring Gay Marriage that in any way threatens our marriage. May all of us honor committed, loving relationships entered into by two consenting adults who choose such a sacred union and covenant~! May G~d continue to bless the sacred love that is shared ~

There is a separation of church and state. Everyone is entitled to their beliefs/opinions but their is a big difference between civil marriage and religious marriage. They are not one and the same. Churches should not and will not be forced to marry anyone they don't want to marry but the government should allow people to civilly marry whom they love regardless of their gender.

People should be able to marry who they want to. We all will have to answer to God, not man. It is not up to man to judge. Churches don't have to marry anyone they don't want to but civil marriage by the state are a different matter. Everyone is entitled to their beliefs. There are different religions. No one should be forced to live under any particular belief or religion.

God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. If He wanted man and man He would have say so, but He made man and woman and it should remain that way. Anything else is out of order.

"Should" is an opinion. Good thing not all laws are based on opinions. Good thing we don't live in a theocracy. My religious beliefs happen to differ from yours. That is MY freedom of religion.

Did any of ya'll hear about the Kings Bay soldier who was discharged from the navy because they allegedly found images on his cellphone of him and his boyfriend? I don't think it was a violation of DADT. This is my two cents.

I agree with you but every person has their own salvation with God. Each of us has different convictions when it comes to the Bible. All “Christians” do not believe the same. I love God and know God loves everything.
