the purpose of the marriage is to join two lives and make the miracle of making a family and for this to be possible there must be two different sex person not the same sex.
thanks

Gays can adopt or have their own children by 3rd party intervention. Your reasoning is flawed.

Not sure what "God" has to do with this issue. And, whose "God" anyway? To each his own. If two gays want to marry, that's their business. They're not affecting my life or anyone else's life. People need to stop getting involved in other people's lives and live their own. It's interesting to note that those who oppose government intervention (gun control, etc.) are in favor of government intervention when it's convenient (gay marriage, etc). How ironic. I think more people should be reading, going to libraries and start seeing the world. Time to exercise your brain.

No, actually we want no government intervention in either case. The homosexuals are the ones bringing the government into this by trying to get the courts to make new law.

Get the courts to make a new law?

Is that what you said to the slaves of 1860?
Is that what you said to other women in 1910?
Is that what you said to Japanese Americans in 1943?
Is that what you said to African Americans in 1955?
Is that what you said to Hispanics in 1995?
And now, it's way you say to Gays and Lesbians in 2011!

Is this how someone cleverly rephrases a discriminated groups demand for equality? "Oh - they are just trying to force the courts to make a new law"????

I didn't realize ensuring ALL AMERICANS are extended Equality and Inclusion has reduced to a negative connotation of simply 'writing a new law'...!!!

You certainly have a way with words VIrtue. It's really too bad none of those words are very virtuous!

You certainly have a way of meandering into irrelevancy. I love the ridiculous comparisons you make lol

Thats because we are discussing Government sanctioned marriage. This issue is unrelated to the marriage in your church. They are free to do as they wish. This is not a church issue, its a governmental issue. Why does the Christian Church get to define marriage in this country? They did not invent marriage, they do not own marriage, they do not own America. The very concept of government marriage should not even exist. Why should a couple get special tax breaks? Its like family socialism. I choose not to get married so I have to pay more into the system then married people. Pfft

Vadgealicious,

You certainly have a way of commenting on every post that I make. I love the ridiculousness of the drivel that ALWAYS leaches from your posts!

Civil Marriage is a civil right and if you have a problem with gay couples or lesbian couples getting married - than don't attend their weddings if you should ever be invited to one!

In fact - don't even bother to send a gift! Your gift can be shutting your pie hole, once and for all!!!

You raise good points -- but I'm sure they fell on DEAF EARS when VIrtue (Vadgealicious) read them. In fact, he/she didn't even bother to respond to your post. It could be because he/she is way too fixated on harassing me.

I know you have a difficult time sticking to FACTS, but - the facts are Civil Marriage is a civil right and if you have a problem with gay couples or lesbian couples getting married - than don't attend their weddings if you should ever be invited to one!

I didn't respond, Gaylord, because there was no need to. Unlike you I am not obsessed with having the last word in every thread.

I made my point, the other poster politely responded, and that was sufficient for me.

it's more than a civil right. other posters have labled it as a human right. and that's more accurate in the phrasing.

Vadgealicious -- you always seem to fight for the last word when you're around me!

And you are OBSESSED! Obsessed with promoting inequality, exclusion, discrimination and HATRED!

PS: Nothing is ever sufficient for you, because you don't have the ability to reason.

No, I'm not obsessed. I simply won't give in to your stalker/cyber-bully tactics. Hopefully my example inspires other.

Inspires others to behave like a raving lunatics, and engage in homophobic, discriminatory, exclusionary and hateful tactics and rhetoric toward others, while preventing and perverting the very existence of marriage between two unrelated consenting adults who's only demand is to make a lifetime commitment to each other, and have that commitment recognized by the very state and country in which they reside and pay taxes?

Oh - I'm sure your example will NOT inspire others to do just that! After they see your behavior, who would want to be like you?

Honestly -- your words and actions PROVE you STAND for:

* Hate
* Bigotry
* Intolerance
* Exclusion
* Inequality
* Infidelity
* Promiscuity
* Discrimination
* Banning Marriage between two unrelated consenting adults who love each other

My words, and my actions PROVE I STAND for:

* Love
* Acceptance
* Tolerance
* Inclusion
* Equality
* Fidelity
* Commitment
* Monogamy
* Marriage between two unrelated consenting adults.

1. I'm am not afraid to be a fierce proponent of Marriage Eqaulity.

2. I'm not afraid to REJECT your HATE.

3. I'm not afraid to REJECT your BULLYING and I WILL NOT STAND FOR YOU TURNING THIS AROUND ON ME!

4. These are MY MARRIAGE RIGHTS WE ARE FIGHTING FOR - NOT YOURS.

5. YOU HAVE NO VOTE, NO SAY, NO INTEREST, AND NO REASON TO BE POSTING HERE!

IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MARRIAGE BETWEEN GAY COUPLES, DON'T EVER GET GAY MARRIED!

See, that's exactly what I'm saying.

You're obsessed, you just can't let it go.

You can't abide anyone espousing a point of view that is not in complete agreement with your own.

When then happens you stalk and bully the person until they go away.

It won't work with me :)
