Why shouldn't gays have the same rights as heterosexuals?

Excuse me, but I don't see what's wrong with two people of the same gender getting together in marriage. An abusive husband gets drunkenly married to an 18-year old loose, confused girl in a Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, and they divorce after three months because she gets pulled out of the household because it becomes OBVIOUSLY evident he's beating her. They get divorced -- slap on the wrist, but other than that, their marriage went SOUNDLY.

Two men/women/any other gender get married to each other in a traditional wedding, and STAY together until they die. NEVER Divorce, but their marriage isn't considered "REAL" and they have to deal with bullshit hicks and Bible-Thumping "Christians" who believe they're "Satanic" and they're "Damning the entire human race to Hell." Seriously?

Sorry if I come off as incoherent, I'm just a 17-year old who's pissed off.

Same sex relationships are just as valid as heterosexual ones, if not moreso, because these couples endure despite intolerance. How can teenagers who are to young to know what they want in life marry, but not homosexuals? Biracial marriage used to be illegal, but now we have come to realize that that is ridiculous. So is banning gay marriage. C'mon America, get with the times and show some LGBTQ support.

You mean the tradition of denying rights to U.S. Citizens... that tradition
