I just don't see why people are so opposed, what do two people, that you DON'T KNOW, being in love and getting married have to do with you life? Nothing. So why do you care so much. Its love no matter what, what if someone was against straight marriage? Would you fight for it? Probably, which makes you a hypocrite.:)!

I believe that that every person was born the way they were. If they love someone, where is our right to take that away? Isnt this american, home of the free? Land of the brave? Religion shouldnt matter when your picking the love for the rest of your life. People argue that its not "right" not "natural" thats not fair, because every single person was born the way they were. Taking away their health benefits? Restricting their medical expenses? That is destroying what this country stands for. People come here to live their freedoms. Why say "oh you cant marry so and so because their the same gender" How is that fair? This is America. Can someone explain to me why this is fair, without mentioning religion? The catholic church does not rule the world, sorry to say. In the constitution, it states in the bill of rights amendment one, Freedom Of Religion. Why are we basing the right of gay marriage on the catholic church? They dont matter with eachother. Gay, straight, bisexual, pansexual, whatever a person might be, deserves the freedom of marrying their love. Its a simple freedom Americans have enjoyed for almost two centuries, now just because same sex couples want a marriage certificate, its a big issue. No, thats not fair. Gay Marriage must be approved.

Everyone deserves the same rights, no matter what anyone's religious or personal beliefs are.

I'm openly gay and out of the closet. I fight every day to have my rights in this country. We're humans, not mentally ill monsters. I'm one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, and I don't hide my sexuality, but if you can't see through it, you'll never know who I really am. It's painful to see that I'm only 17, and I see people raising homophobic kids every day.
