I for one am tired of hearing about the gays and all these rights they supposedly don't have. They should just shut up. People are sick of hearing about it.

How did blacks and women get equal rights? By sitting down and shutting up?

Nice try, comparing the "rights" of gays to engage in their perverse behavior and call it "marriage" to the rights of blacks and women to vote, seek employment, etc. This is sick and twisted logic. No wonder the black community overwhelmingly opposes "gay marriage" and helped to defeat it in California.

Gays are not enslaved, they are not forced to ride in the back of the bus, they aren't stripped of their right to vote nor forced to pay a poll tax, their churches aren't bombed, they are not hosed down in the streets by the police. Comparing gay "rights" to the civil rights movement for blacks and other racial minorities is grossly offensive and wrong.

Actually those things did happen to homosexuals and (not as much as in the past) still do. People are taken out in the woods and beaten. Gay people are not demanding special or extra rights just equal rights. In Michigan all an employer has to do is suspect,(whether from rumor, the way a shirt is buttoned or even just because you shook a persons hand even if you didn't know they were gay), that you are gay and can fire you even if you are married to a person of the opposite sex and have children.
