I don't think I need explain something as basic as the right to be hitched with the one you love.

People who are in love should be together. Why would anyone be opposed to another person's pursuit of happiness?

Why would anyone want to deny a gay man or woman simple basic human rights? Heterosexual marriage has a >50% divorce rate. To say that straight people have some kind of moral advantage is rediculous. I've met some of the most devout, and compassionate, good people who happen to be gay, and I've also been aquainted with some of the most selfish evil hearted "straight" people who know nothing of the bible. They try to use the Bible as a weapon, in their self-righteous zeal. God is perfect, and God creates everything in the way he intended.

Rush Limbaugh Has chosen to spew hatred, and promote to Republican agenda. He seems to be taking up the slack left bythe death of Jerry Falwell (or "fowel smell", as I call him.) Glen beck is another pawn. Wtag should be ashamed for airing their hate mongre republican propaganda. Whores who sell their mouths for mammon.

Gays have been suppressed for a long time, so I cut them some slack if they speak out. Rush Limbaugh is financially supported by a Republican agenda. He's a moron not unlike Howrd Strn. I'm guessing youre a white woman, about 25 to 35, who became Republican Defacto because your Husband is.

Our society has become compassionless. A souless society of selfish, and vile ambitions. There is not a shred of decency, or moral integrity left. Today, you are witnesses to social devolution brought on by this wicked generation.

I don't agree. Most homosexuals are good decent people who want to be left alone. If you consider the truly heinous way gays are oppressed in society, by ignorant self righteous zealots, I would be the first to applaud their efforts to stand up for their human rights and dignity. If you want to label that "activism" then so be it. There are so many gay kids committing suicide today because of apathetic ignorant teachers, that it shows how wicked society has become. But on a positive note, Gay civil right, gay marriage is inevitable. No one can stop it. Gay marriages have a better track record than the straight marriages, which has a divorce rate > 50%. Nothing sacred or special about > 50% straight marriage divorce rate

This is a civil issue and people that oppose gay marriage are doing it for religious views which is wrong. Gay people pay taxes, serve their country, work, retire, etc. and deserve equal rights. I should know, I am a gay man who has been with my partner for over 52 years. We have been married 10 years this year in Massachusetts. I am also a Navy Veteran and a retired software engineer. My partner and I live in Holden. A good friend of ours, Leonard Holden, is a descendant of the Holden family by which the town of Holden was named after and Leonard is gay. Wake up Holdenites!

Same-sex marriage is a civil issue, not a religious one. The LGBT community is simply asking for equal rights which they deserve under our constitution. Most people who oppose gay marriage are doing do for religious reasons which do not apply. I am a gay man and I have paid my taxes, I am a Navy Veteran, I am a retired software engineer, I have been with my partner for 52 years. We have been married in Massachusetts for 10 years. We live in Holden and have many friends here. One of our gay friends of the past was Leonard Holden who is a descendant of the family Holden was named after. We live like any other married couple and we celebrated our 50th anniversary in Holden with many gay and straight couples and had a great time. Our society is more compassionate than ever, more generous, and kind. Those who do not think so are still living in the dark ages when people thought the world was flat.:>)

This is a civil issue about equality, not a religious one. LGBTs pay their taxes, serve their country, and gay marriage does not affect straight marriage. My partner and I have been together over 52 years and married 10 years. We have lived in Massachusetts for over 51 years and are retired, living the American dream. It is time for all of our citizens to move up to the 21st century from dark ages thinking.
