It only takes a small amount of common sense to see this act is unnatural, and immoral. We do have those who try on a daily basis to sell their sick behavior to the common man and woman. Actually, there are those who would have one believe that sex with children is" A" okay. Believe it or not there are those sick persons who agree. Just think these perverts walk amount us.

Over 1500 species of animals have homosexuals in them... so hardly unnatural... not common maybe... but natural.

Now tell me why you believe it is ok to deny the same rights to two u.s. citizens that you give to two other citizens...

What concern is it of ours? Everyone should have the right to be happy. And how did these lovely christian folk forget "though shall not judge"?beside, if christians wanna keep the whole "marital union in the eyes of the lord" thing to themselves, but what about marriage in the eyes of the state, they have people who can legally marry other people who arn't ordained ministers, right? compromise anyone? and i know there are christian and god-loving homosexuals but if you are married in your hearts then god sees anyway, and in my opinion, is happy for you. you don't need a congregation of mortal men to agree, unless you (or they) forget, god isn't influenced by them, it's the other way around, or it should be. considering that they don't seem to be adhering to the whole "love and accept they neighbor" ideal.

We are a democracy and things like this are voted on. Unfortunately in this case the majority vote seems to care quite a bit what the bible says so it matters.

Kiwi did you pay attention in civics class?

A) we are not a democracy.... we are a republic
In a republic the majority strictly, as well as all others among the people, primarily to protect The Individualís , unalienable rights and therefore for the protection of the rights of The Minority, of all minorities, and the liberties of people in general. The definition of a Republic is: a constitutionally limited government of the representative type, created by a written Constitution--adopted by the people and changeable (from its original meaning) by them only by its amendment--with its powers divided between three separate Branches: Executive, Legislative and Judicial. Here the term "the people" means, of course, the electorate.
Democracy is: Rule by Omnipotent Majority. In a Democracy, The Individual, and any group of Individuals composing any Minority, have no protection against the unlimited power of The Majority. It is a case of Majority-over-Man. http://www.lexrex.com/enlightened/AmericanIde...

B) This is not a majority rule case... it is a civil rights case. In civil right cases it does not matter what the majority believes. If it goes against the rights of the citizen it is not allowed. Take a look at Loving v Virginia. The Virginia goverment passed a law..(majority rule) against inter racial marriage. If your statement was true, that law would still be in place. However SCOTUS ruled it was unconstitutional based on civil rights of the citizens to marry whom they wanted based on the 14th equal protection clause. IMHO this will be the judgement when ssm cases hit the court later this year.

I did not know that, thank you. i made a post without thinking about it late at night and i should have gotten my facts straight first. I just can't make sense on how their is any legitamate legal standing to the idea that two people can't get married. It all seems like technicalities and excuses used to back up some peoples personal views. Legit question-not trying to insinuate a point or anything- What could actually go wrong with it that it would affect the general masses on a personal basis?

Marriage has always been a religious express of unity under God, which the god of all religions opposes homosexuality, therefore, i they wish to be together let them live in as religious people say sin, or get a state union. separation of church and state mate.

I think the biggest boosters of gay marriage
are the lobbyist for lawyers
I recently read where a female celebrity was being sued by her WIFE, for spousal support to the tune of $90,000 + per month
Estimate will be for every 3 gay marriages, there will be two divorces, just think of all the $$$$ in court cost, and lawyers fees

I read the Bible and the words of jesus flat out does not support gay relationship. They can call me anti gay all they want. But try telling God Yahweh and his arch angel micheal that they are anti gay or biggots because it plainly says in the bible for any christian or if your a muslim even the koran comdemns it..Nature condems it thats why two people of the same sex cant reproduce even the animals until they are sexually active condemn the practice with their behavior they always look for the opposite sex to make a family .. Im with God he made this this choice for me long before mankind and homosexuals and lesbians ever came unto this planets hey God even destroyed two cities and comdemned them to death for this practice if God came down from heaven this very moment you will see homosexuals and lesbians head for the mountains and hills looking to hide from him and his angels..thats how i feel about the matter.
