I Believe that God intended marriage to be one woman and one man

Religious dogma has no place in the legal system. Marriage is nothing but a legal contract between two consenting adults in order to be recognized for insurance, medical, and property purposes.

I believe if there was a god, He would want us to treat each other with mutual respect and dignity. Lets take care of each other.

I'm sorry but God has nothing to do with love, he created the gays he should learn to deal with them. They're people too and deserve to be equal and start a family like EVERYONE ELSE. If you have no heart then obviously you'll probably spout something about God and his way. Well I got news for you, just because it says one man should not lay with another in the bible, it also says all men are equal. Are gay men not men? Are they not allowed to be equal?

Separation of church and state? Yeah, I'm pretty sure our country was founded on that basis. And, honestly, if I want to marry another woman I don't particularly see how that affect anyone else.

Just because YOU believe something does not mean that OTHERS shouldn't be allowed to live how they please. If "God" intended marriage to be only man and woman, then he would have KEPT it that way.

My question does it affect the bible thumpers out there? If you dont like it, don't take part. Not everyone believes in the boogeyman in the sky.

Why does anyone care what other people do? It isn't anyone's business, and these spouses deserve legal rights.

It is the peoples right to make their own decisions, and not be judged on what is "right" by any other people.

It is absolutely none of one's business to interfere in the private life's of others. Additionally, this country was founded on the basis that every man was created equal. It doesnt matter if they're gay - they are equal to us and they deserve to be treated like human beings.
