After voting against it in the local election, I woke up and realized I was wrong. It is a civil right.

This is a civil rights issue--not a religious one. The right to marry doesn't give them the right to do it in your church.

If 2 people truly love each I don't have a problem with it, heck a big majority of straight marrages go from the alter to divorce court in months gay marriges more than likely will be the same...more money for the state court system.

If having a child is required when you're married to the opposite sex, then a lot more marriages would have to be terminated. Let gay people marry if they like, it doesn't hurt me or my marriage one bit.

I don't condem the gay for their sexual tendancies. I don't believe gay marriage should be recognized by any state. In most cases the same rights results could be accomplished thru legal chanels such as Wills and Power of Attorneys. Recognizing these marriages will open up a big can of worms. What's next recognizing that people must get home from the bar after a drunk and recognize drunk driving? Gayness is a personal sexual preference or tendancy. I don't believe legal unions should be recognized by the state.

Some people just enjoy holding power over others by denying them civil rights in the name of being moral.

God did not create he and he nor she and she. He created Man and Woman. And it was good with God. He commanded Man and Woman to populate the earth. What can a gay couple offer to God's kingdom? They can't even fulfill his very first commandment to mankind. I oppose because I am Christian and I do not support sinfulness of any kind.

If regular homosexuals come out of the closet; do midgets come out of the kitchen cabinets.

What about the Book of Leviticus which states "not to wear clothing made of more than one material." Do you follow that too or do you just cherry-pick things to justify your own bigotry and hatred? You know, Jesus Himself NEVER mentioned homsexuality. Jesus talked about things like being NON-judgemental, peace, love, compassion, and helping the sick and those less fortunate. Too bad more (so-called) "Christians" can't follow the teachings of JESUS rather than just condeming this, or opposing that or hating that. Sad....
