A straight person can divorce seven times, and be remarried eight. A straight person can be drunk in Las Vegas, and be married within the hour. But two people, who genuinely love each other, can't be married simply because they are gay. That is just sick.

There is absolutely no justification for there to be against gay marriage. We as a country have to rise and overcome this nonsensical homophobia and put our time and effort into more important things like our struggling economy. Oh hey, guess what will stimulate our economy! Gay weddings! Come on, guys, this isn't a hard choice. We can't claim to be a country with equal rights for everyone when the rights aren't equal.

People need to understand that being gay is an abomination to God! It is NOT normal! Why would you think it is right? God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve!

Good Lord. If you allow gays to marry, they become leagally recognized, then spousal benefits apply, etc. Thats why it is illegal. That, and because a majority of voters do not want it to be legal.

I'm not a religious person; therefore, so much for that. I do try to live my life by the ten commandments, because that is how civilized people should behave.

As to the gay marriage, I believe it is wrong because it goes against nature. We all know how babies are made. Can't happen (naturally) in a same sex union. And I've never seen two male (or female) dogs, cats, or any other animal copulating. That should tell people something.

As for what people do in private, I don't personally care. They can be gay or straight. Gay people seem to just like to 'get in peoples faces' about it and try to say it's natural. It's NOT!!!

As for getting benefits, guess what ... straight people who aren't married don't get spousal benefits either. Marriage is and should be between a man and a woman!

How are you people the authority on what is "natural" and what is "moral" it's not you asses or vaginas then how does it concern on what other people do? Let them do what they want and be happy. It doesn't affect you people in the least.

Ummmm .... "it goes against nature. We all know how babies are made. Can't happen (naturally) in a same sex union. And I've never seen two male (or female) dogs, cats, or any other animal copulating. That should tell people something."

Bayou Q, have YOU ever seen another species with homosexual behaviour? There's your answer right there. Also, if EVERYONE decided to be gay, humans could not procreate without medical intervention (which is a scary thought).

As for what's "moral", everyone has to decide that for themselves. Just don't get in everyone else's face about it, and don't expect "special" accomodations to be made by everyone else for your choices.

And when you've got to add "asses or vaginas" into your posts, it shows that you can't have an intelligent response to the arguments on this forum.

Dolphins, primates, dogs, horses, birds, cows, and many more have homosexual tendencies. Vagina is the correct word. Does it offend you? I'm not homosexual, but I believe it's everyone's choice. Why should marriage be specifically for copulating? Are there not enough unwanted children in this world? The gay community adopts these poor children and provide for them a wonderful life. Much better than some of the straight families I have seen. It's 2013, it's time for this whole stigma against the gay community to be gone. Move forward with the times.

A) It is natural, not common but natural... over 1500 species (including cats and dogs) have homosexuals in them.
B) Unless you can show where procreation is required in your or any state in order to get married, it does not matter if the couple can make a babie or not.

"Bayou Q, have YOU ever seen another species with homosexual behaviour? There's your answer right there"

You want a list of the 1500 species or can you look it up yourself?

"lso, if EVERYONE decided to be gay, humans could not procreate without medical intervention (which is a scary thought)."

A) One does not "decide" to be hetero or homo. You did not wake up one day at 13 list the pros and cons of each and then make a concious decision to be attracted to the opposite sex
B) the whole "if everyone was gay" arguement is at best absurd, at worst down right stupid. Only 2-5 percent (depending on which studies you read) are homosexual... so I am relatively sure the 95-98 percent of all other americans can populate the earth quite nicely thank you.

As for what's "moral", everyone has to decide that for themselves. Just don't get in everyone else's face about it,"
You mean like the anti ssm crowd... calling people an abomination, saying that it is a choice...?

"don't expect "special" accomodations to be made by everyone else for your choices."

Exactly what "special accommodations" are you referring to? You mean the pesky accommodation of being given the same right to marry who they want as other americans get?... how dare they,,,

You can whine and crybaby all you want. I learned early on that life isn't always fair. Your parents should have taught you that when you were a child.

Grow up, get over it, and get on with whatever choices in life you choose to make. I really don't give a flying flip what you do.

So, lets take away all of your rights because we don't like what you do. Who would be whining then? All humans should be treated equally.

Funny I learned early in life that as an american citizen you have , or should have equal rights to all other citizens.... Part of what makes our country what it is.....

Again wth the choice... when did you choose to be hetero
