Gay marriage is an oxymoron when you know about the Institution of Marriage. Trouble is, there are so many who are ignorant about why that institution was created and how it is to be treated. It goes beyond political correctness. It goes beyond feelings. IT IS a creation of God and IS to be observed the way He asks us to. And if we choose to thumb our collective nose at Him by cheapening it, then we don't need to be surprised when He lifts His hand of favor off of this nation more then He already has.

Gay people deserve to marry their loved ones, just like straight people do.

nunofyerbidniz wrote: Gay people deserve to marry their loved ones, just like straight people do. If you are right, then one man who loves two women and who love him deserve to marry. And if a brother wants to marry his sister because they feel romantic love towards one another then they should do that as well. If the boundaries of marriage are going to be changed because homosexuals want to take part in it, then why stop changing the Institution of Marriage at that?

Hey, what is this nonsense? Everyone on here who supports gay marriage is NOT from Fort Wayne. nunofyerbidniz/equalityforall: go talk on the Alexandria blog! it must be you: Go onto the Harrisburg blog! You're screwing up the results for Fort Wayne, we should be listed as opposes, not supports.

You people do realize that your religious beliefs are irrelevant to those who don't share them, right? So its a moot point. People shouldn't have their rights and freedom compromised by the silly superstitions of other people.

There's more to love and life than merely breeding and contributing to overpopulation and depletion of resources. Humanity isn't an insect colony.

This whole gay marriage thing hinges on one issue. (((MONEY))) If insurance company recognized any other relationship between bob and bob or sue and sue marriage wouldn't even be an issue. They wouldn't even try to get married because they would be able to get death, health and whatever else they think they need.

It is irrelevant to my Christian values what political correctness dictates. The Institution of Marriage founded by God whether you believe in Him or not is one man and one woman... period. If the state wishes to fold, spindle and mutilate that definition because God-less Secular Humanists who are a far smaller portion of the total population in this nation than Christians are cry out for it that is the state's choice. It is my choice to oppose that knowing what I know. Why isn't the homosexual lobbyists not pushing to have civil unions elevated to equality with legal marriage? Why isn't it coming up with another legal union like a 'bonding' or a 'unification' and leaving marriage alone? It is their choice to try to cheapen marriage more then it has been, and it is my choice to oppose them doing that. Though homosexuality is deviant sexual behavior classified as a mental illness up until the 1960s, I basically held a 'hands off' attitude about it. It wasn't I who started attacking what was sacred to them friend... but vice-versa. And when it comes to siding with you or with God whether you believe in Him or not, then you have one guess who I will side with. Here's a hint. It isn't you.

Of course I support gay marriage. What harm does it cause to anyone? None. These people are happy and they aren't hurting anyone. Why should they not be allowed the right to be happy?

If the straight people are really straight they shouldn't care if gays want to get married, but there not really gay, so they are jealous because the only way they can get any is by cheating on there wife or husband with the same sex and living a lie. But when they finally do come out of the closet it's kinda too late, you are entering a realm that is very complicated and with years of experience could be hard. So try living a gay lifestyle your whole life and then you will see why people don't have a choice in being gay. They would have chose something else.

Why does it matter to you so much, are you a gay man that's in the closet and you wished you could have lived as a gay man, but you can't because you were worried about being hated, and you wouldn't fit in, lol, you are a loser just like the rest of world that would think for one minute that you could give rights to anyone, you have no rights in telling anyone how they can live there life, and don't go bible thumping my post I will call you out on that now, if you would actually read your bible you would see that it says though shall not judge, so you would be a bigget to your own words. By trying to stop something from happening you aren't doing a very good job. We will have gay marriage wether you like it or not. And that sad day when your son or daughter tells you they are gay. What will you do disown them. If you do, remember god is watching you, and he will make you pay for everything you do on this earth. So remember that you didn't write the bible and you have no evidence of who really did write it. So show us proof of who wrote the book, and we can believe every word in it. Almost like a gossip column, oh lol topix for example.... Neo wrote: <quoted text> One man and one woman can have children. Two men can't, two women can't. It's ok because in 20 to 30 years from now, there won't be any people like you left in the world, so we don't have much to worry about. So try to teach your children to hate as much as possible, because the next generation is 10 times smarter than you and all of your haters. Good luck spreading evil, they will find the truth and learn to be free. Free from people telling them how to live, and free to be human... and many other things you wouldn't understand FWsouthsider wrote: <quoted text> Irrelevant is a good word to use in my reply.
