i'm not gay, so why should gays bother me? marry who you want. be happy. isn't this basic? shouldn't people have the right to marry? aren't gays people? where's the problem here?

Being gay or homosexual is a genetic defect. It is a disease. I'm sure homosexuals would prefer not to be homosexuals. They want to be normal and their desire for marriage indicates this. Perhaps someday, medicine will be able to cure this defect. But, until that day comes, we shouldn't embrace the idea or concept of gay marriage as a proper and just institution. Because, I think the medical profession will eventually be able to find the genetic cause of homosexual behavior and develop a treatment to resolve the defect. Homosexuals should be treated with respect, just as any person with or without a genetic defect should be treated. But, why normalize this defect and consider it proper for homosexuals to be married? Homosexual behavior is not conducive to propagation of the species. Therefore, the gay trait should be encouraged to die out to protect the species. In fact, we should pass laws to prohibit gays from propagating. If you promote gay marriage as a just and proper institution, then you are doing harm to the human species that in the end will be just one of several reason for our extinction. Take the religion out of the discussion and just stick to the medical necessity of protecting the human gene pool from extinction.

Dude. I hope that you are trolling like a mofo. Because you are contradicting yourself like a mofo. You say that homosexuals should not be allowed to have children for _because_ their behavior is not conducive to the propagation of the species. Think about that for a second. Which is, furthermore, a stupid thing to say since humans are now at the moment in absolutely no danger of extinction. In fact, there are probably too many of us. The notion that a marriage should be exclusive to makers of babies would also prohibit the marriage of sterile people. Good luck with that. Also, your comment that homosexuals' desire for marriage indicates their desire for normalcy. Have you considered that this stems from actually being normal in the first place? See, the American Psychological Association does not consider homosexuality to be an illness. Being homosexual has no inherent detriment to an affected human being. If you argue that the detriment is that they cannot reproduce, then I propose that you look up forms of reproduction alternative to the traditional sort. The only reason that someone would not want to be gay is ultimately because people treat them like shit for it.
