Marriage should be between two people who love eachother. 50% of all marriages end in divorce, obviously us straight people aren't getting it right anyhow.

Good point! Saw comedian once who said something like, "why not give gay people a chance to experience all the joy and misery that comes with marriage as straight people."

Really, what does marriage do aside from joining all finances, DEBT, etc. do? How does it hurt or help anyone else aside from the two parties involved? It doesn't!! So if you don't agree with, stay straight and mind your business. Wonder what those folks do if one of their kids comes home one day and breaks the news...are they going to disown them or "make them straight?"

congratulations on being a christian. so am i.
it just so happens i happen to be gay as well. and many denominations and churches both in america and around the world welcome homosexuals as both congregants and clergy.

where does it ever stop!!! next they want to adopt children and raise them to be tolerent of thier deviate lifestyle. life is confusing enough for children and many adults. homosexuals are ostracized around the world and even publicly executed. it is not to be accepted /tolerated/and those who participate in such activities should be shunned it has no place in a civil society except back in the closet!

As a gay mam I don't want marriage, I take a union or something along those lines.. I want the right to be able to be with my dying lover who was tossed out of the family till now.. The family now wants all the money and assets that we have build together thru the years. Legal rights the family has them no matter what kind of SOB they have been....
Marriage has been proven wrong sense the beginning of time. God put in the 10 commandments, Thy Shall not commit adultery, and so he or she, Black or White God knew what they were talking about. Male and Female have always cheated on each other in Marriage Straight people have shown gay people that. So why would I want to copy that crap.. NO Thank You I want something of My own.. A Union with rights will work for me...

Seems to me he didn't really care about you. If he had, he would have taken measures to make sure you got a fair shake in the community property.
And not leave it up to his family, who didn't like the fact he was gay.

But why would a partner not take time out to make sure the other half would be entitled? was it ignorance? Selfishness? he didn't do it. If he had half a brain, he'd have wrote a will.

if homosexuals could marry, then this wouldn't be an issue. inheretance and all that already addressed in marriage laws.

we've written our wills & update them periodically...at GREAT expense. the only ones getting rich and profiting off the laws as they are written are the attornies. at $400+ an hour, that's more than just a bit excessive. not to mention the IRS rules, the insurance industry and the list goes on and on. all of which is solved when a couple marries legally.
