I stand by Biblical values and the act of homosexuality is vile and destructive. I pray for the people involved in homosexuality that they turn away from their acts and follow the straight and narrow path ascribed by The Bible and our Lord Jesus Christ.

To try to change the definition of the word does not change what it actually it - marriage is between a man and a woman, same sex couples can never meet that criterion. Even in cooking, two flavors that are the same do not form a marriage of flavors - duh

It's morally wrong on all counts. And normal heterosexual people should NOT be forced to condone that behavior.

What moral counts are you referring to? No one is forcing heterosexuals to condone homosexuality.

All people deserve the same rights. Legal marriage brings legal rights that should not be off limits to some couples.

It's not going to rip apart the fabric of society.LGBT people are going to live their lives, raise families, grow old and die. Just like heterosexual couples. For any person to deny civil rights to any human is more of an abomination than any type of lgbtq marriage. And if you think otherwise, please teleport yourself back to 1950's South. We don't need you here with the modern, logical people.

Nobody is forcing heterosexuals to pay attention to homosexual marriages. It's just a marriage. Just like nobody makes a huge deal about straights getting married. This shouldn't even be a problem to begin with.

Because everyone should have the right. Not just people who abuse and throw away marriages like they're nothing.

Why is there anything to explain? Marriage is a union between two people who love with one another.

Shouldn't have to explain equal rights for all tax paying citizens of the United States to anyone. It's called common sense.

It is so wrong to hate someone for who they are. Every one deserves to love and be happy with whomever they want. Why should it matter the gender? It shouldn't. If things don't change for the gay and lesbian community soon, then I have a feeling petitions will start to ban straight people from being married and if and when that day comes, my name will be on those lists because if the gay and lesbian community can't marry who they want, then why should I be able to? It isn't fair, it isn't right, and it isn't anyone's business who other people love.

Who are we to say who you can love? If any of you think you have the right then THAT right there is something worthy of opposition. Prejudice is only ignorance. Think about that the next time you want to take away any person's rights.

Marriage was , is , and always be as described "between a man and a woman". The definition of a word cannot just be changed, do we now get to call a person that is walking a runner just because they want to be called that? Maybe we should now call a man/woman marriage a 'moral union'.

No one really gives a crap what you decide to do behind closed doors or on your own. What people do not want is to be told that something that is immoral, disgusting and unnatural is now o.k. Marriage as defined is 'between a man and a woman' no gay union fits that description so it will never be a true 'marriage'. Homosexuality has only one purpose- personal sexual gratification. Maybe we should call masturbation marriage also!?
