The Lord God Almighty in his word, The Holy Bible said homosexuality was a sin. Marriage is between a man and a woman not two of the same sex; laws and personal opinion will never change the fact that it is a terrible perversion.

I just voted to oppose the idea of supporting gay marriage( as the homosexuals have changed their names to)...somehow my vote was changed and listed as supporting this perversion...I just want to go on record to say I would never support any homosexual act as right and on equal status as the original meaning of marriage (between a man and a woman). Thank you.

Shame on you for using your bible to bully and gay bash!

Marriage is between two unrelated consenting adults and you're not strong enough to legislate your bigotry and narrow-minded opinions for long.

Marriage Equality will become nationalized in America, just like it has in Canada and Mexico, Iceland and Norway and Sweden, Spain and Portugal, The Netherlands and Belgium, and South Africa and Argentina.

You just voted?

What gives you the right to vote on my marriage?

The audacity of your being is palpable.

I want to just go on record in saying you have NO RIGHT to condemn others, and strip them of civil rights you apparently take for granted, just because it conflicts with your 2,000 year old narrow minded religious beliefs!

Perhaps it's time you to ride a camel into some Middle Eastern theocracy?

Love is love, man. If you don't want to marry someone of the same sex as you, don't. Who gives you the right to decide whether or not somebody else can?

Various things the bible says are wrong -

1. Shaving (Leviticus 19:27)
2. Gossip (Leviticus 19:16)
3. Eating lobster (Leviticus 11:10)
4. Eating pork (Leviticus 11:7)
5. Cotton/polyester blends (Leviticus 19:19)
6. Associating with women who are on their period (Leviticus 15:19-20)

So, basically what we're looking at is that the Bible says that a lot of different things are wrong. Most of it is ignored, so what makes this issue any different? I go to church every Sunday, and while I'm in no way extremely religious, I was taught that the Lord loves everyone. I am absolutely appalled to see the Bible used as an excuse for someone's bigotry.

Because it is a right to be able to marry or even be with the person you love. And your relationship should be between you and them. No one else, Church or Government, should be able to tell you who you should be with.

It's a simple civil rights issue. No threat to my marriage or yours, I just think a gay couple in a committed relationship who want to get married should be able to.

LOL, it cracks me up that these Old Testament verses are used again and again in failed attempts to discredit Christianity.

First of all, Leviticus came along a couple of thousand years BEFORE Christ was born. These are Jewish books, and Jewish customs. They are followed by observant Jews to this day.

Shellfish and pork are not "Kosher". Observant Jews do not consume them.

Grooming and dress are customs that Jews utilize to distinguish themselves from non-Jews. Take a look at a Hasidic Jew sometime and you'll see an extreme example of what I mean.(kinda like a queer with a rainbow flag if that helps)

Other customs were health related. Bear in mind that we're talking four thousand years ago. Medical science only learned to type blood groups in the late 1800's. These people had no idea what made them sick, but they were able to reach reasonable conclusions about what was prudent and what was not prudent to do.
I am absolutely appalled to see the Bible used as an excuse for someone's bigotry.
Morons with no argument shout "bigot".

marriage is NOT a right!

If it was, you wouldn't need a license to get one.
