Its a simple civil rights issue. It is a no brainer: everyone has the right to LOVE.

Uh, if you don't want gay marriage... then don't marry a gay? Also, here via Tyler Oakley. Will be interesting to see the map.

Nope. Marriage is not a civil right
everyone has the right to LOVE.
There are no laws prohibiting "LOVE", not even homosexual sodomy.

It isn't a matter of want or don't want, it's a matter of right or wrong. By any rational standard, homosexuality is clearly wrong.

You are correct.... sort of ....
It is a matter of right or wrong.... however the question is is it right to deny the same rights and legal coverage to a couple toghther for 15 years who happen to to be a ssc, while granting them to a couple married 5 minutes.
Not tell me how that is right....... if so why....

Really... why?

While u are at it, please explain why a couple of U.S. citizens together for 15 years, who happen to be a ssc, should enjoy less rights and legal standing than a couple married 15 minutes

Gays should "enjoy less rights" because their relationship is abnormal, in other words, perverted. Marriage between those of the same sex is disgusting and wrong. Rights have nothing to do with it. The fact is that gays, knowing what they do is wrong, are demanding these "rights" because they want to feel better about their perverted lifestyles. They know they are not normal, but they can pretend to be so if they have the support of the liberals who, to be politically correct, uphold them in their shameful lifestyles.

"Gays should "enjoy less rights" because their relationship is abnormal, in other words, perverted."

Well since homosexual activity has been documented in MANY MANY animal species, abnormal it is not......
Second, the constitution, from which the rights of all american citizens is derived, doesn't say these are only for those a portion of the public deems "normal"... it says for ALL U.S. citizens DOESN'T IT.

" Marriage between those of the same sex is disgusting and wrong"

Ummm disgusting and wrong are pejorative words... I find liver and onions disgusting and old men with pony tails wrong.... however that doesnt mean restaraunts dont have the right to sell liver and onions and that old men cant have pony tails..... So your opinion your welcome to it... just cant force it on all.

Rights have nothing to do with it. The fact is that gays, knowing what they do is wrong, are demanding these "rights" because they want to feel better about their perverted lifestyles.

Ya... rights have EVERYTHING to do with it. You say gays know what they re doing is wrong is a fact... do you have any studies to show that?...Any proof behind that "fact".... Or is it just a "fact" you choose to believe..
They want equal rights because they are AMERICAN CITIZENS. There is no reason why a certain group of people should get less rights just because another group of people dont like them.

"They know they are not normal, but they can pretend to be so if they have the support of the liberals who, to be politically correct, uphold them in their shameful lifestyles."

To paraphrase Forrest Gump... normal is as normal does.... You say they are not "normal'.... your opinion. Many people believe they are not "normal" for one reason or another... doesnt matter when it comes down to equal rights does it. It is not "normal" for a person to cross dress, yet they have the same rights as you. It is not normal for someone to be a math whiz, yet they have the same rights as you....

Sorry, but all the "reasons" you give are emotional based, not fact based. You do not like homosexuals.. we get that... however tell us a legal fact that would defend them from enjoying the same rights as you do......

Logan,
Just noticed your display pick with the saying "and justice for all"... you may want to change that to fit your attitude. Maybe to "and justice for all I deem acceptable and right"

It matters not that homosexual behavior has been documented in animals. All that says is that homosexuals are on the same level as animals, so is that the kind of comparison you wanted to make? I’ll buy it!

Keep in mind that you can’t force your opinion on all, as well. As for disgusting, I find you to be just that.

The Constitution does not specify sexual rights for anyone. Gays have the very same civil rights as all citizens, but that isn’t enough for them. They want more rights than others. They want to tear down the family as it has always been. Nothing they do is beneficial for society.
Forest Gump? Are you serious?"

The issue is not that it will affect anyone’s rights but that gay marriage should not be allowed because it violates the rules of common decency. Gays do not have the right to demand a nation change its mores to accommodate their perverted lifestyles. The United States Constitution does not and never has granted rights to anyone to be a sexual pervert.

In fact, homosexuals were not accepted in society in the early days of America. Sodomy was legally condemned with severe punishment as the consequence.
America's first law book, authored by founding jurist Zephaniah Swift, communicated the popular view concerning sodomy and says it well:
“This crime, tho repugnant to every sentiment of decency and delicacy, is very prevalent in corrupt and debauched countries where the low pleasures of sensuality and luxury have depraved the mind and degraded the appetite below the brutal creation. Our modest ancestors, it seems by the diction of the law, had no idea that a man would commit this crime [anal intercourse with either sex]....[H]ere, by force of common law,[it is] punished with death....[because of] the disgust and horror with which we treat of this abominable crime. 25”
John David Michaelis, author of an 1814 four-volume legal work, outlined why homosexuality must be more strenuously addressed and much less tolerated than virtually any other moral vice in society:
“If we reflect on the dreadful consequences of sodomy to a state, and on the extent to which this abominable vice may be secretly carried on and spread, we cannot, on the principles of sound policy, consider the punishment as too severe. For if it once begins to prevail, not only will boys be easily corrupted by adults, but also by other boys; nor will it ever cease; more especially as it must thus soon lose all its shamefulness and infamy and become fashionable and the national taste; and then ... national weakness, for which all remedies are ineffectual, most inevitably follow; not perhaps in the very first generation, but certainly in the course of the third or fourth.... To these evils may be added yet another, viz. that the constitutions of those men who submit to this degradation are, if not always, yet very often, totally destroyed, though in a different way from what is the result of whoredom.”
Whoever, therefore, wishes to ruin a nation, has only to get this vice introduced; for it is extremely difficult to extirpate it where it has once taken root because it can be propagated with much more secrecy ... and when we perceive that it has once got a footing in any country, however powerful and flourishing, we may venture as politicians to predict that the foundation of its future decline is laid and that after some hundred years it will no longer be the same ... powerful country it is at present. 26”
As Michaelis stated, the acceptance of homosexuality will ruin a nation, as it has indeed done."

Did the Constitution give you the right to tell me what I can say? Who are you to make such a suggestion? Do you dare to presume that only gays have the right to opinions about homosexuality? FYI, I live in this country, too, and I am tired of all the depravity in our society. This used to be a decent country until it decided that decency was old-fashioned and allowed all the depravity imaginable to replace our moral values; now we have a nation that is on the same level as Sodom and Gomorrah, and I won't be surprised if God judges us. We deserve it.

False. Gay couples would like to enjoy the SAME privilege that straight couples have: the ability to marry. They seek no "more" rights.
Logan wrote:

Are you suggesting that gay people want to stop straight nuclear families from forming?

How about being productive members of society?

Your argument is to cite imaginary cultural "rules"?

And slavery was accepted. And women couldn't vote. Do you believe the early colonists really had the best handle on social equality?

Yeah, why can't we go back to the good ole days when women were property and slavery was a-okay? That's the way Jesus loved it!
