I believe we should keep church and state separate. Two adults should be allowed to make their own decisions about their lives.

First God Loves all people and wishes all people to come to him through Jesus Christ, this is the only hope. God Smited an entire country for sinful acts of same sex relationships and he will again... on judgement day. I just pray many people give themselves to Jesus and to the authorithy of God and his Word the Bible. However, the book of Matthew says there will be few that come into the kingdom of God because man is foolish in his own deeds. Ephesians states that no eevil sexual immortially will enter the kingdom of God.
Romans 1:26-27 (CEV)God let them follow their own evil desires. Women no longer wanted to have sex in a natural way, and they did things with each other that were not natural. Men behaved in the same way. They stopped wanting to have sex with women and had strong desires for sex with other men. They did shameful things with each other, and what has happened to them is punishment for their foolish deeds.

Marriage is a religious ritual, no church should be marry an atheist and no church should be forced to under separation of church and state.

If you would like to live in a country where you want to persecute people for decisions made between consenting adults, please do us all a favor and move to Iran or Saudi Arabia. Besides, the threat to "traditional marriage" is not other people - it is yourselves.

The 14th amendment to the U.S. Constitution: ALL persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, ARE CITIZENS of the United States and of the state wherein they reside. NO STATE shall make or enforce ANY law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall ANY STATE deprive ANY PERSON of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to ANY PERSON within its jurisdiction the EQUAL protection of the laws.

The Establishment Clause of the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights states, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion." That is fundamental to our government's foundation on a separation between church and state. Regardless of your religion's view of homosexuality, the government cannot deny the GLBTQ community the same rights that heterosexual citizens enjoy on the basis of a religious argument. According to the 14th amendment, ALL people born and naturalized in the United States are citizens thereof and must be given equal protection under the law.

If you don't like gay marriage, don't have one. You don't realize the value of marriage until you can't have one.

It's a human right to be able to get married, whether it's girl/girl, guy/girl, or guy/guy.

I would never want anyone to tell me who I can and can not marry, especially not our f-ed up government. I do not understand why its such a big deal. If who someone marries does not directly effect your life then it should not be your business. If its a matter of God's principals, well then isn't there suppose to be a separation of God and State? Children can't say the Pledge in school because saying God will offend other people but 2 people who love each other can't get married because God doesn't think its right doesn't make any sense. I couldn't care less about marriage or getting married but I believe everyone has the right to be as happy or miserable together as they want to be

Maybe you should look inside that bible you love so much and see what God says about judging others...

James 4:11-12 -- "Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?"

Romans 14:1-13 -- As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables. Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him. Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand. One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind."

Corinthians 13:1-8 -- "If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful"

And most importantly:

Galatians 5:14 -- "For the whole law is fulfilled in one word:“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”"

I would not consider myself a "christian" but unlike those who claim to be I have actually read the bible (actually a very interesting novel if you just look at in that way) and while its true God may condemn Homosexuality he also condemns those who pass judgement. It is not your or anyone else is place to judge and if you do then you are just as "damned" as those you are preaching about.

I'm straight . I love God . But I also think love is between Love&Love not a guy and a girl. They know it's a sin but if they're willing to make that choice for themselves, why should we stop them. When public figure heads realize they're no God and can't judge anybody the world will be a better place.
