I support the right of any committed couple gay or straight to marry! It's only social justice!

I think the terminology is what puts people off-if they dropped this "gay marriage" theme and allowed "gay union" or "gay legal contracts" us traditionalists would find this far more palatable.I think this insistence on using "gay marriage"is deliberately antagonistic on the part of these couples.

Places that have marriage equality already don't seem to have hang ups about winning spots events. New England Patriots. Spain won the World Cup against the Netherlands in Soccer, Both have marriage equality.

Massachusetts must know God is love and love doesn't insist on it's own. Glory to God for your Christian example. Way to go on Marriage equality.

Separate but equal WAS a tradition after Plessy v. Ferguson. Separate but equal was also struck down as unconstitutional in Brown v. Board of Ed. Whites found separate but equal palatable, but the people with the second-class version of "equal" didn't. You might want to think about what "traditions" you're trying to perpetuate.

Bawbie, it's not 'gay marriage', it's just "marriage", the same marriage has always been...

It's still two consenting adults, who happen to love each other, and want to formalize their union with the state, the very same way two heterosexuals, who love each other, do it.

Marriage is marriage, regardless of the participants.

Just like an apple pie, is an apple pie, regardless if the apples are MacIntosh, Granny Smiths, Red Delicious or Golden Delicious - they are still apples, and you don't have to "redefine" apple pie when one chooses to use green, over red, or vice versa...

Just like marriage does not have to be redefined, if two men, two women or a man and woman are marrying each other. It's still marriage.

Separate is NEVER equal.

Since you're apparently from MA, can anyone honestly claim society is being harmed since Massachusetts has authorized the inclusion of gays and lesbians in the state institution of marriage?

Seems to be, marriage is such a "non-issue" in MA, now that it's legal for everyone.

Perhaps you should work on reading comprehension, my post wasn't a criticism of your post - at all, it was an addition to it. Sorry you obviously didn't get that.

The post wasn't for the benefit of you, it was for the benefit of those you were responding to...

Sorry, I must have accidentally responded to your post instead of another. I see my post doesn't make much sense in relation to what you responded to. My bad.:)

Actually, your ignorance is a sin -- and God is not going to be pleased by you blaming your homophobia and ignorance on him. God never said homosexuality was wrong - Leviticus did, and we all know how ridiculous some of the statements in Leviticus are. Need me to cite a dozen of them?

Well - that's good -- because it's NOT A LIFESTYLE, at all. It's a state of being - just like heterosexuality is a state of being.

A lifestyle is something like - staying up late, and partying to 3am, then going to work wiped out.

Or - spending outrageous amounts of cash in trendy restaurants.

Or skiing Andermatt one weekend, and basking in the sun of Saint Lucia while sipping on Margaritas.

Those are life styles, being gay is a state of being! Don't forget it - eh?
