Anyone who doesn't support gay marriage at this juncture is just having troubling admitting that it is wrong to treat gay people any differently from straight people.

I see no issue with it. My sister is gay, a ton of my friends are gay... It doesn't affect me. Who cares if they're gay or not? Let 'em be.

a gay person parking a car isn't called gay parking.
a gay person reading isn't called gay reading
so why is a gay person getting married called gay marriage?

It doesn't matter what your personal views on homosexuality are - marriage is a basic human right and every adult citizen is entitled to the opportunity.

Discrimination because of sexuality is regressive oppression and is incomprehensible.

Obama favors equal rights through Civil Unions for gays, not marriage. I agree with that. The two are not the same, they are different--one involves procreation and self sacrifice through child rearing, the other not necessarily so. Besides, gay community celebrates diversity, and civil union is different than heterosexual marriage. Why try to be considered same as heteros when celebrating diversity?
Are you implying that we shouldn't let infertile or post-menopausal women get married either? It's not all about raising children. It's about a lifelong bond between two consenting adults.

this is a basic right in the US. It is wrong to keep people from marrying the people that they love. Why does the government get to tell you who you can or cannot love? This is no different when African Americans and whites couldn't marry. discrimination is wrong and has no place in our country.

Human beings are human beings. Love is love. Not really sure how to break it down anymore.

Only a few short years ago people of different races couldn't marry. That bigotry has fallen, and this too shall pass.

Proper rights for everyone, gender shouldn't prevent someone from properly displaying their affection for someone else such as marriage.

In the begining God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve! God made marriage clearly between man and woman.....This is why nowhere in the bible do you see homesexuality approved, but always as a sin. Soddom and Gomorrah were examples of God's punishment for the specific sin of gayness....he will also punish the people who in our days live an immoral lifestyle and claim it to be normal. Just one more last thought.....even animals aren't gay and they don't have a morality, but people who are to have a morality are immoral becuase they have left God. So AMERICA REPENT, and RETURN BACK TO GOD, because if you don't you will be PUNISHED BY GOD'S HOLY WRATH FOR YOUR SIN!
You totally have the right to feel the way you do, but it's not cool to incorrectly fire off facts. Homosexuality has been documented in 500 species. Sodom and Gomorrah also have nothing to do with being gay. The sexual orientation was never stated of the group of men who were planning to rape the angels at Lot's house. Also, in Genesis 19:4 it says, " Before they had gone to bed all the men from every part of the city of Sodom-both young and old-surrounded the house." How could every single male in the city be gay? That doesn't even make sense, and why would Lot offer up his daughters to have their way with them if they would have no interest? These men were very violent and trying to force the door down. This story is about Lot's religious faithfulness, not being gay. A similar story is told in Judges 19:22 about a Levite and his concubine. In this story, once again we have a group of males saying that they want to have sex with the man who is staying at home of an old man in city. The old man refuses to offer up the man and instead offers his virgin daughter and the man's concubine. Ultimately,"...the man took his concubine outside to them, and they raped her and abused her throughout the night, and at dawn they let her go (19:25)." To even suggest that either of these stories were about being gay is truly foul and detestable and I'd hope you'd have enough common sense to know that it's not one's sexual orientation and drives them to commit atrocities such as rape against other human beings. As I said before, you have ever right to see marriage as between a man and woman as it relates to YOUR religion and beliefs, but it's truly inappropriate to expect all others who don't prescribe to your beliefs to follow them and also use your religious text to promote lies and hate. Please be more thoughtful next time you decide to post something and make an effort to promote God's love instead of blindly condemning others.

Everyone has an inalienable right to love who they want. And what better way to show that love than by marrying them? Marriage should not be just for the heterosexuals of the world.
