It does break the law in some states. Sodomy is against law.

Wow, it's just shocking how ignorant people from southeast Texas are. The bible was written by man, there are numerous other laws written in it that no one takes seriously. It is pathetic to say that I come from such a homophobic and ignorant part of the United States like Beaumont, TX.

Whether god is real or not, love is love. We shouldn't keep two people who love each other from being able to get married, like any "normal" couple would. If you don't like gay marriage, just don't have one. It's as simple as that. Gays are commiting suicide because of bullying about their sexuality. America needs to wake up and realize that this is NOT okay.

Being gay isn't a choice. When did you decide to be straight? They deserve to be able to get married just like the rest of us. They deserve all the same rights, and I find it offensive that this is still a debate. For those who quote the Bible and say that it's God's word, let me just pull up a simple argument. The Bible also says that one should not wear fabric woven of two different cloths. So, if we're to listen to that, then everyone out there who has ever put on a poly-cotten blend shirt is going to hell. This should be considered a basic human right.

No one deserves to be treated like a second class citizen. If gay people can't "go against God" and get married, then why can straight people who are married get divorced? I just don't get it.
