I support Civil Rights Equality for all US Citizens; a lofty goal we haven't achieved since the founding of our nation

Marriage should be between one man and one woman as our Lord decreed.

He didn't "decree" any such thing
Religion is not a requirement for marriage
This survey is about the right to purchase a marriage license from the county courthouse and to get married by a judge or a justice of the peace

why shouldn't they have that right? getting married gives you 1,400 legal rights. they shouldn't be denied those rights because some people feel it is a sin.

This is a free country. What does this have anything to do with you? If you don't like gay marriage...don't get married to your same sex. but let other people have some rights, FOR GOD'S SAKE

If you don't like gays, then blame straight parents. They're the ones who keep having gay babies. What's that do to your "almighty" argument?

There's nothing wrong with gays getting married. It's just another group of people that America wants to crucify. It happens every generation. It's happened with blacks, Asians, Native Hispanics, fat people, smokers, and gays. It's time for America to grow up and get over these petty issues. We've got bigger things to worry about.

Marriage is a human RIGHT. Everyone should be treated with equality, especially if they are born that way (skin color, sexuality, etc).

Love is love. Love is not decided by gender, age, or whatever else there is that people disagree with. The bible says it's a sin, huh? What about wearing two different types of fabrics? Or playing football on sundays? There are TONS of sins that we've all done. I don't agree that it is a sin, but many people do, and you all who DO believe in that, just think about all of the sins you have done in your life. You are just too ignorant to believe that it's possible for two men or two women to love each other. I hope at least ONE ignorant person reads this and understands.

denying a person the right to legally marry because of religious blockades goes in direct opposition of the 1st Amendment.

Mostly this whole controversy for it comes from the Bible, yes? Well in the bible it states you can't eat shellfish, wear polyester, divorce is forbidden and honestly if we followed the rules as strictly as some people stood by "a man shall not lie with a man as he lays with a women" there'd be no football. It states you can't do anything with animals, mess with them and such, so pig skin? Yeahhh, wouldn't really fly. If people don't like gay marriage, who cares? Then they just don't have to fucking get one.

Love is love. It's still between two people who love each other just like straight couples love each other. Stop covering up your hate with the Bible; it's all just hate. Just let men marry men and women marry women...will it really keep you up at night?

Yeah. I do. And for those of you citing the Bible, I do hope you don't watch football, ever work on Sunday, wear mixed fabrics, have sex before marriage, etc. because the Bible forbids all of these things. Stop the bigotry.

i refuse to hear the words "with liberty and justice for all" until there really IS liberty and justice for all. banning homosexual marriages is inhumane, we're treating normal people that their freaks. and the more you deny it and say "well, we TOLERATE them, don't we?" makes it worse, becaues you just PROVE to everyone that you really don't. get off your high horse! this country was BUILT on freedom of religion and ideas and FREEDOM!
